One Syrian serviceman was killed and several more were injured as a result of the air strike performed by the US-led international coalition in the east of the province of Homs, RIA NEWS reports. The airstrike targeted «Army position in Jabal Gurab, 150 kilometers east of Palmyra, near the border with Iraq». The Syrian forces allegedly opened fire on three American vehicles that were moving to the position of the Syrian government troops in the Al-Khalba area. The vehicles moved from the At-Tanf area, where the US forces have a military base. This was the first case of direct confrontation between Syrian and the US forces.

The delegation of the US Congress, which plans to pay a visit to Russia in the coming days, will include members of both the Senate and the House of Representatives. This was reported by the Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov. According to him, the US lawmakers plan to visit Moscow and Saint Petersburg between the end of June and the beginning of July.

The head of the Russian chemical defense corps, Igor Kirillov, announced that more than 40 tons of toxic substances were found on the territories liberated from the terrorists in Syria, Interfax reported. Igor Kirillov underlines that despite the repeated demands from the Syrian authorities to send OPCW specialists to the locations where the poisonous substances were found — the OPCW either refused to do so because of the lack of safe conditions, or because the findings were, as in the case of chlorine, intended for the disinfection of the water pools. According to Igor Kirillov, the experts from the Russian chemical defense corps repeatedly found hidden chemical laboratories and warehouses with toxic chemicals.

«The Ukrainian People’s Tribunal» located on the territory of the LPR sentenced the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to life imprisonment for his participation in the war crimes in the Donbass region, RIA «NEWS» reports. During their meeting in the city of Lugansk, the judges of the «People’s Tribunal», initiated by a group of lawyers from Donbass, announced that all the case materials will be transferred to the Supreme Court of Ukraine for an official verdict. According to the representatives of the tribunal — this should happen after Ukraine gets politicians that will be able to implement the Minsk agreements.

In the DPR, over the past day, Ukrainian troops violated the ceasefire 5 times, firing 309 shells at the front-line regions of the Republic. The outer areas of Gorlovka — the villages of Dolomitnoe, Golmovsky, Novolaspa and Kominternovo were under attack. Artillery, weaponry of infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers, as well as small arms, were used in the shelling. The villages of Sakhanka and Kominternovo in the south of the DPR remain disconnected from the power grid because of the shelling.

Ukrainian troops fired at the positions of the LPR 3 times over the past day. This was reported in the defense department of the Republic. The areas of settlements of Donetskii and Lozovoe were under attack. 120-mm mortars and grenade launchers were used in the shelling.
