After the US president Donald Trump refused to partake in negotiations with the leader of the DPRK — the US plan to introduce «dozens of new sanctions against Pyongyang,» a source in the White House announced. This issue was discussed during Thursday at a meeting of the US National Security Council. Sanctions may be introduced at the next week, RIA NEWS reports while referring the Wall Street Journal. The US National Security Council considered an option of military intervention during the meeting.

In DPR, over the past day, Ukrainian troops violated the ceasefire agreements 16 times, firing 297 shells at the front-line territories of the Republic. The town of Gorlovka, the villages of Golmovsky, Dolomitnoe, Ozerianivka, Zaitsevo, Dokuchaevsk, the southern villages of Bezymynnoye, Sakhanka and Kominternovo were under attack. Mortars of various caliber, grenade launchers, weaponry of APC and IFV, as well as small arms, were used during the shelling. Aside from that, this morning the Ukrainian army used artillery and mortars to shell the village of Petrovskoe near Donetsk.

The secretaries of the security council of the member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization have met in the city of Astana. Nikolay Patrushev represents Russia on the meeting. The topic of the meeting was worsening of the general international situation, and the growth of conflict potential in the Central Asia. Nikolai Patrushev reported on the state of affairs in Afghanistan. There, he explained, in the border areas with the former Soviet republics located in Central Asia — up to 20,000 well-armed terrorists are currently located, and they are ready to infiltrate the post-Soviet space.

At the same time, the investigation seemingly ignores the information about the date and place of finding of the engine of the missile, as well as those who handed over the finding to the commission.

The unmanned aircraft »Global Hawk» belonging to the USA conducted reconnaissance flight along the south-western and southern coastline of the Crimea and the Kerch Strait. A lone US Navy P-8A Poseidon aircraft flew in the same location with similar tasks — the plane scouted areas near Sevastopol and the southern coast of the Crimea. This was stated in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense. Experts noted that the scouting of the military infrastructure of the Crimea is the main purpose of the flight of the US Navy aircraft. It was also noted that it wouldn’t be too technically difficult to shoot down the spy planes and UAVs. However, none of the American pilots wish to repeat the ‘deed of Francis Gary Powers’ so far.
