The former South Korean president, Pak Kun Hye, was sentenced today to 24 years in prison for the corruption, and abuse of the presidential authority during her tenure as head of state. The verdict was announced by the Central District Court of Seoul. The court also ordered the ex-president to pay a fine of $ 17 million.
