North Korea is developing weapons against the F-35A

North Korea is developing special weapons to counter the F-35A fifth gen fighter-bombers, which South Korea buys from the US — the head of the research department of the Institute of American Studies at the ministry of foreign affairs of the DPRK stated. “Undoubtedly, the purchase of F-35A fighters, the so-called weapon of invisible destruction, aims to provide a military advantage over the nearby countries in the region, and especially to create ways for an attack on the North in case of an emergency on the Korean Peninsula” — TASS quotes the North Korean diplomat. It wasn’t specified what kind of weapon is being developed at the moment. The Kyodo agency believes that the DPRK most likely meant tactical missiles. The contract between the US and South Korea provides the purchase of 40 fighters by 2021.

The Russian Ministry of Transport has described the conditions for the resumption of flights of the Georgian airlines to Russia. “The suspension of the flights will last until the provision of the aviation safety program of the airlines ‘Georgian Airways’ and ‘MyWay Airlines’ to Russia, and after their audit and approval from Russia” — said Alexander Volkov, a spokesman for the department, on the TV channel ‘Russia 24’. He added that Georgia should fully pay off the air navigation services debt. On 7th of July, the Georgian airlines «Georgian Airways» and «MyWay Airlines» carried out their last flights to Russia, right before the temporary ban on flights entered into force.

The Security and Defense Committee of the Transitional Military Council of Sudan announced that they stopped an attempted coup. According to the committee, 12 military men were involved in the attempted coup in Sudan, all of them were detained — TASS reports with a reference to the »Sky News — Arabia». The head of the committee, Lieutenant-General Jamal al-Din Omar noted that the elections are the only way for the change, and «the fight for the control over the country will be carried out through the ballot boxes, not by the military means». Jamal al-Din Omar underlined that the committee is committed to the safety of the citizens, and to the peaceful transfer of the power. A month ago, the Transitional Military Council announced the prevention of another coup.

The British Foreign Office has denied the Russian television channel RT, and the ‘Sputnik’ news agency, their accreditation to the Global Press Freedom Conference due to the disinformation that they allegedly spread. “We didn’t accredit the RT and Sputnik because of their active role in the spread of the misinformation. Despite the fact that it is impossible to satisfy all the accreditation demands — journalists from all over the world will still attend the conference. Including the journalists from Russia» — a spokeswoman of the British Foreign Office told to the Guardian — TASS reports. On 5th of July, the British Foreign Ministry denied the RT an accreditation to a conference on the freedom of press, allegedly due to the lack of the empty seats. Later a similar situation happened with the news agency «Sputnik».

The head of the Russian Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federal Council, Konstantin Kosachev, announced that on 15th of July a meeting of the Russian representatives with the parliamentarians from the Georgian opposition political party »Alliance of the Patriots of Georgia» will take place. The meeting will discuss the relations between Moscow and Tbilisi, and their perspectives. According to Konstantin Kosachev, the meeting will be held in the building of the Federal Council. The first deputy chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federal Council Vladimir Dzhabarov will represent Russia in the meeting.

Moscow started the implementation of retaliatory measures due to the US plans of deployment of medium and short range ground-based missiles — the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov announced while speaking in the Russian parliament. He underlined that Russia had done everything possible in order to preserve the INF Treaty. However, the initiatives of Moscow were rejected. “We are starting to prepare for the potential deployment of the US medium and short range ground-to-ground missiles. The decisions on the symmetrical measures are already being implemented ”- RIA NEWS quoted his words. Sergey Ryabkov underlined that Russia isn’t interested in a missile crisis, and thus Russia won’t deploy their own ground-based missiles until the American missiles of a similar class appear in corresponding regions.
