Rocket attack on Israel — Breaking News, 25th of March, 2019

As a result of a rocket attack from the Gaza Strip, 7 Israelis were wounded, 3 of them are children — RIA NEWS reports. The police reported that a Palestinian rocket hit a residential building in the village of Mishmeret, south-east from the city of Netanya, in the densely populated central part of Israel. Earlier, the Israeli military reported that they detected a launch of one rocket from the Gaza Strip aimed at the central part of Israel. On Sunday night, clashes between Palestinians and the Israeli military resumed along the entire eastern border of the Gaza Strip. The clashes are related to the protest actions of the ‘Great March of Return’, which has been going on for almost a year.

Two Russian military transport aircraft landed in the capital of Venezuela, Caracas, as part of the ongoing military cooperation between the two countries — Interfax reports with a reference to the Associated Press. According to a Venezuelan official, quoted by the agency, the Russian military officials arrived to Venezuela to discuss the matters of maintenance and training of the local armed forces, as well as some strategic issues. Earlier, Latin American mass media reported that 99 Russian servicemen arrived to Venezuela, led by a high-ranking general.

The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised to respond with force to the rocket attack on Israel, launched from the Gaza Strip — The Jerusalem Post reported. “I spoke with the Chief of the General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, the chiefs of special services, and intelligence. We see a criminal act against Israel in the incident. There will be a forceful response” — said the Israeli prime minister, TASS reports. The Israeli Defense Forces already sent two additional brigades to the Gaza Strip, and also began limited mobilization of the reservists.
