Russia will present a resolution on Venezuela to the UN

Russia made its own version of the draft resolution of the UN Security Council regarding Venezuela. The Russian draft resolution will be a response to the American document, demanding the cancellation of the results of the presidential elections in Venezuela from 2018. The US document also demands new elections. Both documents will be reviewed by the experts during the next week.

The Venezuelan state-owned oil company PDVSA is transferring the bank accounts of their joint enterprises to Gazprombank, Reuters reports. The transfer of the bank accounts is taking place because of the US sanctions, imposed on the company on 28th of January.

The »Syrian Democratic Forces» announced a start of a cleaning-up operation, aimed at the “last stronghold” of ISIS in the province of Deir ez-Zor. The operation began in Baguz, south-east of Syria, on Saturday night. About 20,000 of civilians were evacuated from the region before the operation started. “The village of Baguz, which is the last stronghold of ISIS, will soon be liberated” — Mustafa Bali, a spokesman for the Syrian Democratic Forces, announced on Twitter.

Ukrainian border guards declared that the army of the LPR uses laser weapons against the Ukrainian troops. Rays of light-violet color “appeared every 2-3 minutes”. They were spotted near the control point “Stanitsa Luganskaya”, on the night from 8th to 9th of February. The ministry underlined that due to the features of the local relief, and because it’s dangerous to use the optical and thermal imaging devices — it was impossible to establish the exact locations of the sources of the laser rays.

An Ethiopian military helicopter crashed in the area of Abyei, on the border of SudAn and South SudAn. 23 people were on-board. As the result of the crash — 3 people died, 10 more were injured. 3 people are in critical conditions.
