A DPR’s pumping station is under fire

On 16th of May, at 11.25, the Ukrainian troops opened fire from small arms and large-caliber machine guns at the Vasilyevsky pumping station. The military reporters of the press service of the people’s militia of the DPR headed out to the shelled area in order to investigate the incident.

During a videoconference, the representatives of the LPR in the working group on the humanitarian issues of the Contact Group asked the OSCE subgroup coordinator, Tony Frish, to persuade the representatives of foreign countries to inspect the damaged bridge at the border crossing point near the contact line, in the ‘Stanitsa Luganskaya’ area. This was reported by the representative of the Republic in the subgroup and the head of the working group of the LPR on the exchange of PoWs — Olga Kobtseva. She underlined that the LPR can give security guarantees, and she is “ready to negotiate on all the necessary technical issues”

On 10th of May, the Kuibyshev District of the city of Donetsk was shelled by mortars by the Ukrainian troops. A residential building number 114 on the Stepnaya Street was damaged. The military reporters visited the scene, and recorded the results of the criminal actions of Ukrainian troops.

The people’s militia of the LPR detected the flights of the Ukrainian military UAVs near the contact line. This was announced by an officer of the press service of the Defense Department of the LPR — Ivan Filiponenko. «Our air defense forces detected the use of UAVs by the Ukrainian troops. They conduct an air reconnaissance, and adjustment of the fire on the territory of the LPR near the settlements of Popasnaya and Novozvanovka» — Ivan Filiponenko explained. The press officer added that the Ukrainian troops continue to build up their forces along the line of contact. A newly arrived T-72 tank and two BMP-1s were noticed near the village of Krymskoye.

On 13th of May, the Ukrainian troops shelled the villages of Gagarin’s Mines, near the town of Gorlovka, and the Verkhnetoretskoe Nizjnee near the town of Yasinovataya. This was reported by the representatives of the Republic in the Joint Center for the Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire Regime. The report mentioned the shelling from the Ukrainian troops at 18:55 and 19:10. The fire came from the settlements of Dzerzhinsk and Verkhnetoretskoe Verkhnee, and it targeted the villages of the Gagarin’s Mines, and Verkhnetoretskoe Nizjnee. The representatives added that 17 82mm mortar shells were fired at the villages. The data on the victims and the destruction is being specified.

On 8th of May, the village of Zaitsevo was under fire from the Ukrainian troops. The military reporters of the press service of the People’s Militia of the DPR, after an investigation, came to a conclusion that a Bulgaria-made RPG-22 was used during the shelling.
