A terrorist attack on the Khmeimim airbase

1 Syria

The deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in Syria, Rear-Admiral Vyacheslav Sytnik, announced that the Russian air defenses repelled an attack on the airbase ’Khmeimim’. The shelling, reportedly, took place on the evening of 9th of February. The shelling was carried out from the territory of the Idlib DMZ, currently controlled by the illegal armed groups. It was noted that there were no injuries or material damage. The Russian airbase operates as usual.

2 Syria

The Russian and Turkish military conducted a joint training in the city of Sarakib in order to practice various actions of the patrol officers. The servicemen who took part in the training will participate in the joint patrols in Idlib province. The representative of the command of the Turkish Armed Forces noted that there were no patrols in Idlib for more than half a year, so it is necessary to work out all the training tasks, and achieve a coordinated work.The military worked out the procedure for moving in a convoy, repelling an attack on a convoy, evacuating the wounded, and moving in areas where terrorist ambushes are expected.

3 Russia

The TASS news agency reported while citing their military sources that the terrorist group ’’Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’’ are preparing terrorists to commit crimes in various Russian cities, specifically in the places of massive street actions. «For this purpose, the leaders of the «Jaysh Muhajirin wal Ansar», «Jamaat Tawhid wal Jihad», «Ajand al-Kavkaz» and other sub-groups of the ’’Hayat Tahrir al-Sham» are training their most trusted and experienced terrorists from among the recruits of Russian origin, or those who were recruited in countries bordering on Russia» — the report stated.

4 Syria

The ’’Sky News Arabia’’ TV reported that several missile attacks were launched against a convoy of Iranian weapons in the east of Deir ez-Zor province. The attack was, presumably, performed by the Israeli Air Force, shortly after the caravan crossed the Syrian-Iraqi border. There were no reports about the losses or other consequences of the air attack.

5 Turkey

The press service of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan reported that the Azerbaijani Minister of Defense, Zakir Hasanov, went on a visit to Turkey. He will oversee the final stage of the ’Winter Exercise 2021’, which will take place in the Turkish city of Kars. The exercises are being held from 1st to 12th of February. The servicemen of the Separate Combined Arms Army of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, stationed in Nakhichevan, are taking part in the training. It was noted that the purpose of the training is to ensure the coordination of the servicemen of the two states.

6 India

The ’NDTV’ reported that the rescuers of the Indian state of Uttarakhand started drilling a tunnel to rescue 35 workers, trapped by a glacier on the morning of 7th of February. The local police stated on Twitter that the rescuers began the drilling operation at 2 AM, local time. According to the latest data — the death toll has reached 32, more than 200 people are still missing. Constantine Reztsov, specially for the ’ANNA NEWS’.
