A Turkish base in northern Syria was bombed || Спецвыпуск 12.09.2021

Kurdish armed groups detonated a strong explosive charge planted in a tunnel under one of the Turkish military bases near the city of Al-Bab, in the north of the Syrian province of Aleppo.

According to the Kurds — several pieces of military equipment were destroyed as a result of a powerful explosion. At least 12 Turkish servicemen and 10 terrorists were killed.

Only the destruction of a Turkish IFV, which was over-turned by the explosion, was officially confirmed. Images of the IFV were posted by the Turkish military on the social networks.

Unknown people attacked a Turkish army convoy in the province of Idlib. The terrorists from the ’Sarayya Abu Bakr al-Siddiq’ group, who are affiliated with ’al-Qaeda’, claimed the responsibility for the attack.

This group refuses to make peace with the Syrian government and has declared «jihad» on the Turkish forces, accusing them of «betraying the revolution.» This is not the first time the group has carried out attacks on the Turkish convoys which resulted in deaths of the Turkish servicemen.

The Turkish Ministry of Defense has so far reported the death of 2 soldiers, and the injury of 3 more during an incident in the Syrian province of Idlib.
