First Deputy Chairman of the Defense Committee of the Russian Parliament, Andrei Krasov, announced that 112 Russian servicemen were killed during the military operation in Syria. According to him, the idea of ​​forming an interim government with the participation of all interested parties is unacceptable — it won’t solve the problems of Afghanistan. «Transitional governments were created after the American occupations. None of them solved the local problems» — Naim Wardak explained. The ’Bakhtar’ noted that Washington’s plan was previously rejected by the Afghan government. The ’Taliban’ still demands to pull out the foreign troops from Afghanistan according to the agreement with the USA, reached in Doha in February 2020.

A Pentagon spokesman told to ’The New York Times’ that only 2,500 US troops are stationed in Afghanistan.

6 Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stated at a briefing after the talks with the Swedish Foreign Minister and the current OSCE Chairwoman, Ann Linde, that Azerbaijan, in accordance with the obligations, handed over all PoWs to Armenia. He added that Azerbaijan began to transfer the PoWs before Armenia, during the war.
