1 Nagorno-Karabakh

The Defense Army of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic reported on Facebook that the Azerbaijani troops launched rocket attacks on the capital of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, the city of Stepanakert, as well as the city of Shusha and the nearby settlements. The Armenian state news agency ‘Armenpress’ reported that more than 10 such attacks were carried out on Stepanakert on Thursday morning. The press secretary of the Armenian Ministry of Defense, Shushan Stepanyan, reported on her Telegram channel that the Azerbaijani troops launched rocket strikes by using MLRS ‘Smerch’. It was noted that there are wounded as a result of the rocket attacks. Earlier, the United Armenian Informational Center under the Cabinet of Ministers of Armenia reported on Facebook that the Azerbaijani troops launched 5 rocket strikes on Stepanakert on the night from Wednesday to Thursday.

2 Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported that on Thursday night, the hostilities against the Armenian troops continued in some sectors of the frontline. «On 28th and 29th of October the Armenian troops fired from various types of weaponry, including rockets and artillery, at the positions of the Azerbaijani army in some sectors of the frontline. They also hit the settlements near the frontline zone» — the ministry stated and added that the Arminian attacks were «successfully suppressed». «As a result of the retaliatory measures against the Armenian troops in various sectors of the frontline the enemy took casualties. Yesterday, a large number of the enemy manpower, 2 T-72 tanks, 2 MLRS BM-21 «Grad», 14 different types of artillery pieces, several strongpoints, and 6 vehicles were destroyed or put out of action on many sectors of the frontline. Currently the Azerbaijani troops are in control of the operational situation» — the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported.

3 Iran

The Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister, Abbas Aragchi, stated that Iran has come up with an initiative to resolve the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. In this initiative, the leading role will be assigned to the countries of the region. “We take the responsibility to help to resolve the crisis. We have proposed a regional approach from countries that have the key role to resolve the crisis. Russia is one of the most important countries of the region” — the Iranian Embassy in Russia quoted his words on their Telegram channel. Abbas Aragchi expressed his opinion that the work of the OSCE Minsk Group on the solution of the Nagorno Karabakh problem is ineffective. The Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran, acting as the special envoy, makes visits to promote the Iranian initiative to resolve the crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh. Aragchi has already visited Moscow after his visit to Baku. Aragchi plans to visit Yerevan and Ankara.

4 Armenia

The Armenian Defense Ministry reported that on Thursday, Azerbaijan, with the help of Russia, handed over to Armenia the bodies of the servicemen who died in battles in the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. The press secretary of the Armenian Ministry of Defense, Shushan Stepanyan, specified that there were 29 bodies. The Armenian Defense Ministry stated that «Armenia follows the agreements, reached within the framework of the humanitarian ceasefire. Thus Armenia is willing to transfer the bodies of Azerbaijani servicemen, located in Artsakh, to Azerbaijan. The Armenian Defense Ministry expresses the readiness to launch the process of extracting the bodies from the inter-positional sector along the entire Artsakh-Azerbaijani frontline, and even transfer the information about the PoWs, for the later exchange» — the statement announced.

5 France

The ‘Europe 1’ radio station reported that the police of the French city of Avignon shot and killed a man, armed with a knife, who tried to attack them. The attack took place 2 hours after an another attack, which took place in the city of Nice. The ‘BFMTV’ reported with a reference to the police that in the center of Nice, near the church of Notre Dame, a man armed with a knife attacked passers-by. The attack killed 3 people. The offender was arrested. The Paris Terrorism Office and the French General Directorate of the Internal Security were tasked with the investigation of the suspected terrorist murder. The mayor of the city of Nice told to the mass media that the attacker acted in the same way as the terrorist who recently killed a teacher.
