North Korea can stop the dialogue with South Korea, announced the chairman of the North Korean Peace Committee, Lee Song Gwon. He criticized South Korea for taking part in a joint military exercises with the USA. Pyongyang rejected the proposal from Seoul to discuss this issue because it believes that South Korea is trying to make a «rehearsal of the invasion in the DPRK.» Lee Song Gwon called the position of Seoul as «utter shamelessness», TASS reported while citing the CTC and the «Chosun Ilbo». He noted that until the situation changes, «it will not be easy to sit face to face with the representatives of the South Korea again.»

The President of USA, Donald Trump, during his meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in 27th of April, asked her to abandon German support for the construction of the Nord Stream-2 in exchange for negotiations on a topic of a new trade agreement with the EU, The Wall Street Journal reports. According to the newspaper, Merkel did not refuse her support to the construction of the gas pipeline, but she still said that the EU is ready to offer a closer cooperation in the matters of natural gas in case if the US authorities cancel American duties. A bit later the German Economy and Energy Minister Peter Altmeier explained that the opposition to the construction of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline does not guarantee the increase in sales of American liquefied gas.
