According to SANA — industrial objects were under attack. «The anti-aircraft defense systems shot down several missiles» — the agency specifies. Later, SANA added that the attack of the Syrian territory was committed from the sea. Initially, there were reports of explosions on the territory of the research institute of industrial technologies. Then, after about half an hour, air defense systems intercepted several missiles coming from the Mediterranean side.

The Ministry of Commerce of China announced that Beijing will take counter measures against the US after the American side introduced new custom duties worth of $ 200 billions of dollars on the imported goods from China. «The US insist on raising of the duties, thus creating another uncertainty in the negotiation process between the parties. We hope that Washington will recognize the possible negative consequences of such actions, and take measures for their correction» — the ministry noted. Earlier, the White House announced the introduction of new duties on goods from China worth $ 200 billion.

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, during a telephone conversation with the head of the Israeli Defense Ministry Avigdor Lieberman, said that Israel was fully responsible for the destruction of the Russian Il-20 near the coast of Syria, Interfax reported while citing the ministry of defense. Sergei Shoigu announced that Russia reserves the right to take retaliatory measures. «The actions of the Israeli military do not meet the spirit of the Russian-Israeli partnership, and we reserve the right for retaliatory actions.» — Shoigu said during an interview with his Israeli counterpart. Russian Ministry of Defense announced the discovery of the crash site of the Russian Il-20 near the coast of Latakia. «The crash site is located 27 km to the west of the village of Banias» the Ministry said. As it was reported by RIA NEWS and the Russian Defense ministry — »the fragments of the crew of the aircraft, and their personal belongings were found. The wreckage of the aircraft was raised aboard the Russian ships». The special ship «Seliger» with deep-water vehicles on-board was sent to the crash site, the ministry added. In total, eight ships of the Russian Navy are participating in the search for the crew of the IL-20.

The American instructors added to the ranks of the pro-American group several dozen men — those were the refugees living in the camp of Rukban. According to the unconfirmed reports — after their training, the «Jaysh Maghawir al-Thawra» group will relocate to the province of Deir Ez Zor through the territory of Iraq. The most probable task of the group is the protection of the oil infrastructure objects, captured by the Kurds. The said infrastructure have been recently attacked by the ISIS.

The Syrian authorities, while commenting on the agreement of creating of the de-militarized zone in the province of Idlib, announced their intention of getting rid of the terrorists across the entire country, either by force or by making truce agreements, RIA NEWS reported. «The Syrian Republic welcomes any agreements that can stop the bloodshed in Syria and return the peace and security to the territories, currently affected by terrorism. Syria underlines that it will continue to fight terrorism until the whole country is free, either by military operations or by making truce» — the SANA agency quotes a source in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Syria.
