Nikolai Patrushev, the secretary of the Russian Security Council, announced the growth of the number of the terrorists in the north of Afghanistan up to 20 000 people. The terrorists are in the close proximity to the borders of the member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, and their number growth increases the threat for those countries. Nikolai Patrushev explains that due to the state of affairs in Afghanistan and the overall activation of terrorist groups in the country — the risk of terrorists entering Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan is increasing. Nikolai Patrushev also underlined the need to combat the activities of the ISIS in the Internet.

In the DPR, over the past day, the Ukrainian troops violated the ceasefire 16 times, firing 269 shells across the DPR territory. Gorlovka, Yasinovatoy and the southern villages of the DPR were under attack. Artillery, mortars of various caliber, grenade launchers, weaponry of armored vehicles and small arms were used in the shelling.

These actions of Washington demonstrate that geopolitics can indeed openly interfere with the economy.
