Donald Trump announced the continuation of negotiations with the DPRK regarding the summit of the leaders of both countries. «We are conducting very productive negotiations with North Korea on the reappointment of the summit, which is likely to be held in Singapore on the same day, 12th of June. And if necessary — it will continue after that date» — Donald Trump wrote on Twitter. On Wednesday, the White House sent a letter from Donald Trump to North Korea, in which the American leader announced that he refuses to hold a summit with Kim Jong-un due to hostile statements made by the DPRK.

In Ankara, the representatives of Turkey and the USA concluded negotiations regarding the cooperation in «security matters» in the Syrian city of Manbij, and the situation in Syria as a whole. This was stated by the Turkish Foreign Ministry. «It is planned that Turkish Foreign Minister Cavusoglu and US Secretary of State Pompeo will meet on 4th of June to discuss the recommendations of the working group» — the Turkish Foreign Ministry said. Manbij is the subject of a dispute between Ankara and Washington for several years. In early April the USA decided to create two military bases around the city.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced that Washington would not object to the peaceful nuclear energy in Iran if the fuel for Tehran Nuclear Power Stations would be imported, as «many other countries do», Tass reports. Pompeo underlined that Iran should not have the technical capabilities to create nuclear fuel, enrich uranium and reprocess plutonium. The USA would like to tighten the inspection programs in Iran. Washington also requires access to Iranian military and scientific facilities.

The head of the US State Department’s press service, Heather Nauerth, issued a statement that if the Syrian army starts a military operation against the terrorists of the so-called «moderate opposition» in the zone of de-escalation at the south-west of Syria — the US «will take decisive appropriate measures.» She warned Damascus against any actions that would «threaten to expand the conflict, or endanger the ceasefire» — Tass reports. The aforementioned zone of de-escalation is the same one over which the United States, Jordan and Russia have reached agreements during the last November.

The president of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos, announced the reaching of an agreement with NATO according to which Colombia will become the only «global partner» of NATO in Latin America. The signing of the relevant documents is planned for next week, TASS reports. Yesterday, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro accused the authorities of Colombia and the United States of trying to commit a military coup in Venezuela.

The Ukrainian forces fired at the LPR five times over the past day. The towns of Molodyozhneye, Kalinovka, Logvinovo and Zhelobok were under attack. In the DPR, during the same period of time, the Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 14 times, firing 269 shells at the DPR. The towns of Gorlovka, Yasinovatoy, Dokuchaevsk, the southern villages of the DPR, and the village of Petrovskoye near Donetsk were hit. Artillery, mortars of various caliber, weaponry of infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers, grenade launchers and small arms were used in the shelling.
