North Korea announced a successful test of an intercontinental ballistic missile of a new type called Hwaseon-15, which is capable of reaching any target in the United States. Based on preliminary calculations of the ICBM flight and weight of the warhead the Japanese experts doubt that such a missile will be able to deliver a nuclear warhead weighing 500 kg, to the main part of the US territory. It could only possibly reach the western American coast.
During the past day the AFU violated the ceasefire regime 14 times, firing 351 shells on the territory of the Republic. The most intense fire was delivered to settlements of Gorlovsky direction. The shelling was conducted by means of mortars of various caliber, grenade launchers and small arms. Nine front-line settlements were under the enemy fire.
During the past day the AFU shelled the positions of the People’s Militia of the LPR 10 times. Pervomaisk, Kalinovo, Logvinovo, Lozovoye, Dolgoje, Sanzharovka, Sokolniki, Krasny Liman and Veselaya Gora were subjected to shelling by means of mortars of various caliber, grenade launchers and small arms.
The Geneva process on Syria does not provide for a political solution that would leave President Bashar al-Assad in power, the US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said at the Wilson Center in Washington. This can be the basis for the restoration of the country and the implementation of a political solution that leaves no role for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad or his family in the Syrian government, «he said.
In the west of Damascus, the Syrian Arab Army continues the operations against FSA militants.
