Kurdish militants from the «People’s Self-Defense Forces», during the battles of the city of Rajo in Syria, killed 59 Turkish soldiers and fighters from the so-called «Syrian Free Army,» said Kurdish spokesman Brusk Hasseke. Active battles occur in the west of the city, as well as near the villages of Beidanli, Haj-Khalil and near the dam in the Meidanka area. Earlier, the Turkish media reported that the Turkish special forces and the groups of so-called »Syrian Free Army» took control over the city of Rajo.
Ukrainian Minister of Defense Stepan Poltorak stated that there are already countries today that are ready to participate in the peacekeeping mission in the Donbass. Among them — Finland. The question of participation will be discussed with Sweden as well. The head of the Ukrainian military department said that on March 5th the minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Sweden will visit Kiev, with whom Poltorak plans to discuss the participation of Swedish soldiers in the peacekeeping mission in eastern Ukraine.
After the Saturday raid on the tent camp near the Verkhovna Rada building in Kiev, and the following clashes with protesters, the Kiev prosecutor’s office opened a criminal investigation about the possible abuse of official powers by the Ukrainian police. In total, 7 policemen and 13 protesters were injured during the clashes, 111 people were detained.
Militants from the movement «Ansar Alla» released 69 supporters of former president Ali Abdullah Saleh this Saturday in Yemen. The released people were held in captivity for three months. Among them are military officers of high ranks of the Republican Guard and people from special services.
In Omsk, around 8:00 am (local time), a water pipe broke up. As a result of the accident, about 100 houses were left without heat and water. Water flooded one of the central streets of the city. The city services promise to fix the consequences of the accident during the day. Today 20 degrees below zero are expected in Omsk.
