According to Abe, «the Convention stands at odds with Japanese thinking and approach» — Tass reports. «The decision to not join remains unchanged» — Kyodo News quotes the Prime Minister of Japan. At the same time, while speaking at the ceremony in memory of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, Shinzo Abe made a promise to «do everything in his power to achieve a world without nuclear weapons», and he underlined that Japan should lead the movement of nuclear disarmament. The day before, North Korea announced Japanese intention to create nuclear weapons, thus rebuking Tokyo for nuclear ambitions.
The terrorists of the «moderate opposition» shelled the eastern areas of the city of Aleppo — thus killing 5 people and wounding several others. It was fourth such shelling over the past seven days. The number of the victims is raising to dozens.
