The House of Representatives of the US Congress passed a bill that forces the head of the White House to impose sanctions on people and organizations that were involved in cybercrime, the chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Ed Royce, announced. According to Ed Royce — this bill will «show countries such as Iran, North Korea and Russia that the US are ready to take tough measures in response to cyber attacks» — Tass reports. The head of the White House can choose one or several restrictions — a ban on entering the US, a ban on the import and export of goods, a financial assistance, or a freezing of financial assets.

The leader of the DPRK, Kim Jong-un, asked the special envoy from South Korea to give the message to the American authorities, the Renhap agency reported. After the meeting with the South Korean special envoy, Kim Jong-un opposed the statements from Washington about the insufficient progress in denuclearization of the Korean peninsula. Taliban terrorists attacked the checkpoint of government forces in north-western Afghanistan. At least 11 servicemen died, TASS reported while citing Ariana TV. According to the television channel — the incident occurred on the night from Wednesday to Thursday, in the county of Abqamari, in Badgis province. The attack of the terrorists was repelled after the arrival of reinforcements to the governmental troops. It was noted that the attackers suffered significant losses.
