A powerful explosion occurred in the area of Madinat al-Sadr in the west of Baghdad. The local media reported about 20 dead people, and no less than 100 wounded. The cause of the explosion was the detonation of a large ammo depot — the blast wave completely destroyed 14 nearby buildings — the survivors might still remain under the debris. The rescue teams are continuing their work on the site.

In the DPR, over the past day, Ukrainian troops violated the ceasefire 3 times, firing 37 shells at the front-line areas of the DPR. Gorlovka, Zaitsevo, and also Yasinovatoya were hit. During the previous evening, Ukrainian troops attacked the outer areas of Yasinovataya, which resulted in damage to the power transmission lines feeding the Donetsk filter station — the facility was deactivated. This was reported by the LPR office of the Joint Center for the Monitoring and Coordination of the ceasefire. «On 7th of June, 2018, at 10.30 in the morning, as a result of mortar shelling in the settlement of Golubovskoye, in Pervomayskaya street, six passengers of the bus were injured, with different degrees of severity.» All the wounded people were taken to the Kirov city hospital.

Ukraine reacted to the plans of Moscow to produce new «air trucks» on the base of An-124 «Ruslan». The Ukrainian company Antonov believes that Russia won’t be able to independently produce airplanes such as the An-124 Ruslan. The Ukrainian company also doubts that Russian industry is able to create their own transport planes in the first place. The Turkish authorities have rejected the US demand for the cancellation of the buying order for S-400 air defense systems from Russia, Hürriyet reports while referring to diplomatic sources. At the same time, Ankara is ready to take into account the US concerns about possible risks for NATO aircraft within the operation range of the S-400, RIA NEWS reports. The United States consider Turkey’s decision to buy S-400 systems from Russia to be dangerous, since it allegedly could lead to information leakage about F-35 fighters, which Washington intended to sell to Ankara.

The Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gazprom, Alexander Medvedev, announced that the supply of Russian gas to Turkey via the first line of the «Turkish flow» pipeline will begin before the end of 2019. «The gas supply will begin before the end of 2019, the exact date depends not only on the finishing of the offshore section of the pipeline, but also it depends on the readiness of the Turkish gas distribution system. 100% readiness will be in 2019 — there is no doubt about that.» — Interfax quotes Alexander Medvedev.
