The Ukrainian Orthodox Church regarded the appointment of two Constantinople exarchs to Kiev as a violation of their canonical territory, and announced the possible negative consequences to the Constantinople Patriarchate, Interfax reported. As stated in the document — this decision of Constantinople contradicts the second rule of the Second Ecumenical Council — it took place «without the notifying the Metropolitan of Kiev and the entire Ukraine Onuphrius since he is the single canonical bishop of the city of Kiev.»

The Georgian authorities extradited Andrei Tyurin to the US that suspect him in cybercrimes, the FBI’s Secret Service and the US Attorney’s Office announced in a statement. Ukrainian Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman announced that refusal to comply with the demands of the International Monetary Fund to raise the gas prices — could lead to a financial disaster in Ukraine. According to him — the country needs to pay for the debts that accumulated from 2005 to 2013, when the state debt in Ukraine increased by 46 billions of dollars. «We were thrown into a serious debt hole.
