On Thursday, Donald Trump signed a decree on the introduction of customs duties on imports of steel and aluminum. The customs duties will come into full power in 15 days. The amount of duties will be 25% for steel and 10% for aluminum. Fees will not apply to Canada and Mexico however, due to the fact that the US is negotiating the revision of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). Donald Trump underlined that his decree protects the «national security of the United States.»

Donald Trump announced that he is ready to meet with the leader of the DPRK until the end of May, said Chief of the National Security of South Korea, Chon Yi Yong. The special emissary of the Republic of Korea gave Donald Trump the oral message from the leader of the DPRK, and underlined that Kim Jong Un expressed his country’s commitment to denuclearization. At the same time, White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders reminded that «Until this meeting happens, all sanctions will remain in place, and the US will continue to exert maximum pressure on Pyongyang.»

The meeting between the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and the US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson in Addis Ababa, in Ethiopia, never took place. The two ministers were not only in the same city on the same day, but even stopped at the same hotel. On 6th of March, the head of the State Department’s press service, Heather Naouert, said that the US did not receive such proposal from Moscow. Lavrov called such statements of the State Department «untrue», and underlined that the request from the Russian side about the meeting was sent on 5th of March.

In Kabul, a suicide bomber exploded in public. At least 5 people were killed, 10 others were injured. The used explosive device was allegedly a magnetic landmine. Any other details have not yet been received. None of the active terrorist groups took responsibility for the attack yet.

On the night from Thursday to Friday, terrorists of the movement «Taliban» attacked the checkpoint in Khwaja Ghar district of Takhar province. 10 policemen and 7 servicemen were killed. Another 9 policemen were injured. The loses of the terrorists are unknown.

US scout drone »RQ-4A Global Hawk» spent several hours circling near the coast of the Crimea. In the area of Sevastopol, the drone was approaching the coast of the Crimea for a distance of about 30 kilometers, passing along the edge of the sea border, and in the Alupka area — it flew at 34 kilometers away. Before it went scouting the coastline of the Crimea, the drone flew at the distance of 40-60 kilometers away from the regions of Belgorod, Voronezh and Rostov regions that border Ukraine.
