The Global Thunder strategic nuclear forces exercises began in the United States. In the course of the exercises the global strike tactics and anti-ballistic missile defense will be worked out. According to the official representative of USA STRATCOM Brian Maguire, the US warned Russia about the exercises. The scenario includes various strategic threats for the US and uses all the capabilities of STRATCOM. During the exercises, the capabilities of space forces, surveillance and reconnaissance systems, global strike systems and anti-missile defense will be involved.

The Syrian Army has discovered a large explosive factory used by ISIS in the north-west of Homs province. The plant was located in the Jubb al-Jarrah area, in the liberated territories of the former Akerbat cauldron. It was abandoned by the militants after the Syrian army’s troops took control of this region.

The Commander of the Libyan National Army, Marshal Khalifa Haftar, ordered to investigate into the circumstances of the death of 36 people. Their bodies were discovered near Benghazi. According to a number of media outlets, the dead were Haftar’s political opponents, and were killed by the units under his control. The internationally recognized Libyan government, which is against LNA in Tripoli, also announced its own investigation.

During the past day the Armed Forces of Ukraine shelled the positions of the People’s Militia of the LPR eight times. Slavyanoserbsk, Frunze, Khoroshoe, Kalinovo-Borshchevatoe, Kalinovka and Zhelobok were subjected to shelling by means of mortars, grenade launchers and small arms.
