Children were injured as the result of a shelling of the DPR

The Ukrainian forces are still trying to destabilize the situation on the contact line via terror attacks on the civilian population of the DPR. As a result of shelling with various types of weaponry — more than 10 houses were damaged in the village of Staromikhaylovka and in the village near the mine 6/7, near the town of Gorlovka.

On 2nd of May, at 6 am, the village near the Gagarin mine was under fire of a Ukrainian sniper. The windows of the residential apartment at ‘Yasnaya street’, house 27, apartment 7, were damaged. Fortunately no-one was hurt. The Ukrainian forces have once again proved that their main goal is the genocide of the civilians in Donbass.

On 4th of May the Ukrainian troops fired on the village of Aleksandrovka from BMP-2 autocannons. As a result of hitting a window of a residential building — 4 civilians were injured, 3 of them were children. 2 houses were damaged. On the morning of 5th of May the village of Staromikhaylovka was under fire of Ukrainian mortars and IFV weaponry. 2 houses were damaged. The Ukrainian troops opened fire on the village of Signalnoe — 6 houses were damaged.

The Ukrainian 10th brigade fired at a group of civilians who were preparing a monument to the soldiers who died in the 2nd World War, as well as repairing the roof of a nearby club building in the village of Sakhanka. The shelling was conducted with a use of SPG-9, the fire was corrected via a ‘Phantom-4’ UAV. 2 children and 3 adults were injured. The injured civilians were taken to the hospitals in the cities of Novo-azovsk and Donetsk. During the evacuation of the victims, the Ukrainian troops fired again from the SPG-9. As a result — 1 local millitia fighter died and 1 was injured.

The May holidays around the cities of Donetsk and Gorlovka are being uneasy. As the civilians spend their time at home on the holidays — the Ukrainian troops conduct regular shelling of the residential sector. The troops used weaponry of IFVs to shell the village of Trudovskie, in the suburbs of Donetsk, and also the outskirts of Gorlovka.

The Ukrainian troops have installed more than 500 anti-tank mines near the Bogdanovka-Petrovskoye military withdrawal site, at the south of Donetsk — the DPR People’s Militia Department announced. “We continue to record the mining of public roads. According to our information — the 128th Ukrainian brigade installed more than 500 anti-tank mines near the residential buildings, and along the public roads, in the village of Bogdanovka. It puts the civilian population and the employees of the OSCE mission into danger” — the department noted. The DPR previously stated that the situation in the Petrovsky area remains tense.
