Diversion against the OSCE staff in Donbas

The Ukrainian servicemen, detained on 22nd of May near the village of Yelenovka, admitted their participation in a preparation of a sabotage against the personnel of the OSCE special monitoring mission on the territory of the DPR. This was announced by the head of the press service of the DPR People’s Militia Department — Daniel Bezsonov. “At the moment the saboteurs give confessions. From their words we learned that they were ordered to commit a number of sabotage acts on the territory of the Republic. One of which was planned against the staff of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission” — the head of the press service explained and added that during the investigation — the identities of all 8 detainees were established.

2 Despite the change of the ruling elite — the political course of action against the residents of Donbass remains the same. The terroristic shelling of the territory of the republic still continues. There was yet another shelling coming from the village of Zolotoe-4. The shells of SPG-9 anti-tank gun damaged a house on the ‘Liza Chaykina’ Street, in the village of Zolotoe-5. The fragments of those shells smashed the windows, and damaged a gas pipeline.

3 On 21st of May, a bust of the Hero of the Republic, the commander of the legendary international brigade “Pyatnashka”, Oleg Mamiyev, call sign “Mamai”, was installed in the capital’s park “Leninsky Komsomol”. The opening ceremony was attended by the Head of the DPR — Denis Pushilin. “It was a man that, by the call of his heart, left his peaceful life, and came to the war because he knew where was the justice, and where were the enemies” — the head of the country addressed the audience — “All the people of the DPR are immensely grateful for his deed”. Oleg Mamiev fought in South Ossetia. He arrived in Donbass in May of 2014, shortly after the coup in Kiev. He participated in many combat operations, and also led the international team «Pyatnashka». The life of «Mamai» ended on the evening of 17th of May, 2018. He was mortally wounded while performing his combat duties near the village of Yasinovataya

4 The people’s militia of the DPR, together with the humanitarian group ‘Angel’, delivered more than 200 food packages to the residents of the villages of Kominternovo and Zaichenko. The villages are located directly on the front line. The Ukrainian troops shell the residential sector of the villages almost daily, thus damaging the living houses. All the residents of both villages received their food packages. The packages help the locals greatly, especially the older people who find it difficult to go to the store. Often it is simply dangerous because the Ukrainian troops can begin another shelling at any given time.
