Donetsk shelled // Five civilians were killed, including children

1 Donbass

On the morning of 30th of May, the city of Donetsk was under a heavy shelling. The mayor of the DPR’s capital city, Aleksey Kulemzin, noted that several schools were damaged by the Ukrainian artillery fire. According to the preliminary information — 21 people were injured during the shelling of Donetsk. “As a result of the shelling of the Budyonnovsky district, 2 girls of 14 years old were hit on the Dynamichnaya Street. One of them died. The other girl was hospitalized. A boy born in 2009 died on the street of the 50 years of the USSR. The data of the victims and the nature of the damage to the buildings are being specified» — Aleksey Kulemzin concluded. After the shelling was over, the city transportation systems were stopped for the safety of the residents. Later, the data was specified. 5 people died, 16 were injured. Aleksiy Kulemzin underlined in his report that the Ukrainian forces carried out their strikes at the central part of the city. They hit two schools and a gymnasium. During his interview on the Russian TV channels he mentioned that the shelling could have been carried out with the use of heavy American weaponry. Some inscriptions written in English were found on the fragments of the shells.

2 Ukraine

A member of the main council of the military-civilian administration of the Zaporozhie region, Vladimir Rogov, reported on Telegram about a strong explosion in the center of Melitopol. «At 7:40 a strong explosion took place in the city center. The windows and walls of the local houses on the Bohdan Khmelnitsky, Sergey Kirov, and Petr Doroshenko streets were shaking. The city center was in smoke» — the report stated. The authorities of Melitopol qualified the incident as a terrorist attack. 2 volunteers who were delivering humanitarian aid were injured. They were hospitalized — the RIA NEWS reported. Vladimir Rogov urged to enhance the anti-terrorist security measures in the region.

3 Donbass

The Minister of Justice of the DPR, Yuri Sirovatko, gave the details about the PoWs from the ’Azovstal’. «All the PoWs are on the territory of the DPR. We have about 2,300 PoWs who have surrendered from the ’Azovstal’ factory» — he said on-air of the «Russia 1» TV channel. Yuri Sirovatko noted that the attitude to those PoWs is the same as to any ordinary PoWs. The investigators are currently working with those PoWs. According to him, for the crimes like those committed by the Ukrainian militants who surrendered from the Azovstal — the DPR provides a death penalty. But the decision will be made by the court — he underlined.

4 Ukraine

Ukraine received 18 SPGs «Krab» from Poland — the RT reported while citing the ’Polskie Radio’. According to the Polish sources in the Ukrainian government — Ukraine could have received about 18 SPGs ’Krab’. The SPGs will be given to 3 Ukrainian Artillery Battalions. About 100 Ukrainian servicemen have already been trained in Poland to operate those SPGs. Even before the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, Ukraine was interested in getting those SPGs for their armed forces. Previously, Poland has already delivered some tanks, IFVs, ATGMs, and various ammo to Ukraine.

5 Georgia

The chairman of the political party «Georgian Dream», Irakli Kobahidze, said that Georgia completely excludes the provision of military assistance to Ukraine, and will not open a «second front» against Russia. “Any support directly related to the military actions will be received as such. Some people demand it, they urge us to do it — some are doing it unwittingly. But, it is aimed at the opening of a 2nd front in Georgia. Which we will never allow». Irakli Kobakhidze added that the support from Georgia will be only political and humanitarian. «As for any form of a military support — it is not being considered by our side, and, of course, it is excluded» — he concluded. The supporters of the arrested ex-president of Georgia, Mikhail Saakashvili, from the ’’United National Movement’’ political party, are in favor of opening the second front.
