Ex-president of Kyrgyzstan accused of murder

He noted that London and Washington can make trade deals in certain sectors of the economy. The ultimate goal is to conclude a comprehensive trading deal.
2. Kyrgyzstan
The head of the State Committee for the National Security of Kyrgyzstan, Orozbek Opumbayev, accused the former president of the republic Almazbek Atambaev of preparing a coup — RIA NEWS reports. He added that the ex-president was prepared for clashes in his own residence. An armory was found in his house. There were sniper and assault rifles, and pistols. The third floor of the Almazbek Atambaev’s house was fortified as a military fortress — it has fortified firing positions for long defense. According to Orozbek Opumbayev, during the attempted arrest operation, the ex-president specifically used women and children both to protect himself, and to use the information about injured civilians as a matter of fact during the overthrowing of the government. “Almazbek Atambayev was preparing for such a turn of events” — Orozbek Opumbayev concluded and added that one special forces officer died during the assault on Atambayev’s residence. The weapon he was shot with was found in the former president’s house.

The Venezuelan Constitutional Assembly decided to deprive 4 parliamentarians of the opposition-controlled ‘National Assembly of Venezuela’ of their parliamentary immunity «for treason» — TASS reports with a reference to the Venezuelan state television. They are being charged with «treason, usurpation of authority, public incitement to rebellion, violation of laws, and violence». Back in May, the Constitutional Assembly stripped 15 members of the parliament from their protection from prosecution. They were also accused of treason, rebellion, a public call for non-compliance with the law, and for the incitement of hatred.

The former president of Kyrgyzstan, Almazbek Atambayev, has been charged with murder, hostage-taking, and other serious crimes — said Zamir Beishekeev, the head of the department of the prosecutor general’s office for the supervision of the operational-investigative activities and investigations. “Almazbek Atambaev was given notifications on a number of particularly serious crimes. Such as organization of riots, murder, attempted murder, taking hostages and using violence against a governmental official”- RIA NEWS quoted his words. According to the laws of Kyrgyzstan, Almazbek Atambayev faces a life imprisonment.
