Fierce fighting in the Kharkov region
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported about the liberation of the town of Izyum by the Russian forces. Izyum is located on the half-way between the cities of Kharkov and Donetsk, which makes Izyum a strategic point for the Ukrainian forces. The defense lines of the Ukrainian forces from Donetsk to Kharkov took heavy damage after their loss of Izyum. The DPR forces, supported by the Russian forces, now have the space to attack the towns of Slavyansk and Kramatorsk. They also got the opportunity to finish off the local Ukrainian forces. Igor Kanashenkov reported on the destruction of many Ukrainian air defense missile launchers and the temporary deployment center of the Ukrainian national battalion in Lisichansk, with high-precision weapons. Over the past day, 60 Ukrainian military facilities were hit. The Russian air defense forces shot down 2 Ukrainian UAVs near the Staraya Markovka and Kharkov.
The Russian special forces killed more than 300 Ukrainian nationalists during the battles in the Kharkov region — the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense reported. The Russian National Guard repeatedly broke through the Ukrainian defenses. As the result — 5 settlements were liberated, and more than 300 militants from the Ukrainian nationalist groups were killed. Weapons and military equipment were captured. After the fierce fighting, the protection of roads was organized for the safe movement of convoys and the delivery of humanitarian aid into the region. An another episode is connected with the «SOBR» — during the battle in a building, captured by the Ukrainian militants — 5 Ukrainian nationalists were killed. The SOBR squad leader, despite being seriously wounded, remained in his position until the main forces have arrived. The Ukrainian militants suffered heavy losses.
The Crimean Permanent Representative under the Russian President, and the Deputy Prime Minister of the region, Georgy Muradov, stated that in the Kherson region, and in the south of the Zaporozhye region of Ukraine, which are under the control of the Russian military, new military-civilian administrations began to form. “The formation of new military-civilian administrations is already underway. The process of broadcasting Russian TV channels and radio stations has been launched. The locals began to use Russian rubles. All those steps were taken in the right direction, since the south-east of Ukraine has always been an important part of the Russian civilization — it was the Tauride province in the past. On 23rd of March the Russian Federal Council unanimously approved the law that recognizes the participants of the current special operation in Ukraine as combat veterans. In addition to the Russian servicemen, the status of combat veterans will be given to the employees of law enforcement and security agencies, who perform tasks during the special operation. The participants of the special operation will have an access to the social security system, used by veterans of Syria, Afghanistan, and other hot spots. The benefits include the additional payments, tax benefits, reduction of utility bills, and so on.
According to the statement made after the NATO summit in Brussels, the NATO leaders decided to deploy 4 battlegroups in eastern Europe. The groups will be located in Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, and Slovakia. The NATO leaders also decided to support Ukraine. In particular, the NATO allies expressed their intention to enhance the support for Ukraine, including the cybersecurity, and countering chemical and nuclear threats. The NATO also agreed to expand the funding for military spending. An another outcome of the summit was the extension of the powers of Jens Stoltenberg until 30th of September, 2023.
Igor Kirillov, the Head of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Troops of the Russian Forces, reported that the Russian Ministry of Defense presented the evidence that the biolabs in Ukraine were making bioweapons. The funding of the military biological activities allowed the USA to take at least 16,000 biological samples from there. The investment fund «Rosemont Seneca», headed by Hunter Biden, sponsored the biolabs. The US Agency for the International Development, the George Soros Foundation, and the Centers for the Disease Control and Prevention also take part in the implementation of the program. According to Igor Kirillov — the biolabs in Ukraine participated in a large-scale screening of natural immunity in order to select biological agents that are most dangerous for the population of a certain region.
