Germany calls for a diplomatic solution to the conflict in Ukraine // Terrorists attacked Aleppo
1 Syria
The Syrian TV channel ’’Al-Ikhbariya’’ reported that on the morning of 13th of May, some terrorists attacked Syrian servicemen in north of Syria, near the city of Aleppo. 10 people died, 9 were injured. “The terrorists fired an anti-tank missile at an army bus to the west of Aleppo, in the Anjar region. 10 soldiers were killed, 9 were injured” — the ’’Al-Ikhbariya’’ reported while citing their Syrian military source.
2 Germany — Russia
The German Chancellor Olaf Scholz spoke with Vladimir Putin on 13th of May. The Kremlin press service reported that the leaders of the two countries discussed the situation in Ukraine, including the negotiations between Moscow and Kiev. According to Berlin — the German chancellor not only called for a diplomatic solution to the conflict, but also mentioned the global food security — the TASS reported.
3 Georgia
The Georgian Prime Minister, Irakli Garibashvili, promised to his people peace with Russia. He promised that his country won’t be pulled into military conflicts. «We give a guarantee to our population that peace will be long-term. There will be no second front, no war in the country. On the contrary, there will be development, progress, and peace» — he told to the journalists. The RIA NEWS reported that Irakli Garibashvili underlined that the authorities won’t succumb to the provocations from the opposition, who want to bring chaos to Georgia. He added that stability, development, and peace are the achievements of Bidzina Ivanishvili — the founder of the ruling political party ’’Georgian Dream’’.
4 The USA
The Arizona Rep. Paul Gosar tweeted that giving money to Ukraine is a waste of the US taxpayer money. “Last year, Zelensky, as a civil servant, somehow made a hundred millions of dollars. Where do you think most of the 40 billions of dollars, offered to Ukraine, will actually go? We shouldn’t send a dime» — he stated, and added that Joe Biden should only be in charge of domestic politics. Namely — the public debt, the inflation, and the immigration matters. Thus Paul Gosar explained his motive to vote against the aid to Kiev.
5 Afghanistan
«The Afghan authorities are planning to buy oil and gas from Russia» — the Afghan charge d’affaires in Moscow, Jamal Nasir Garwal, stated on 13th of May. According to him, the negotiations are underway among the business circles and the finance management of Afghanistan regarding such imports. “We have decided that we really want to develop economic cooperation with Russia, so that there is some progress in the relations. As for specific areas, we are interested in purchasing fuel and gas. This is what our country needs the most” — the RIA NEWS quoted his words.
6 Hungary
There is a big disagreement in Europe over the decision of the European Commission to allocate money to Hungary, which doesn’t want to refuse the imports of Russian oil — the «Daily Express» reported. As analyst Ashkenazi noted, the European Union — 27 sovereign states — won’t be able to form a new package of anti-Russian sanctions until all the EU countries clearly approve its content. The Hungarian authorities meanwhile refuse to support the embargo on the purchase of oil in Russia. Budapest points to their own geographical features, and details of their energy infrastructure.
