Gorlovka is under heavy shelling

The western outskirts of the city of Donetsk are being bombarded daily by the Ukrainian Army. The Ukrainian troops, located in the villages of Maryinka and Krasnogorovka, are firing from heavy machine guns, weaponry of IFVs, sniper rifles, grenade launchers, and mortars of various types.

On the night of 28th to 29th of March the Ukrainian troops opened fire on the village of Trudovskaya mine and on the Petrovsky district of the city of Donetsk. As a result of their shelling — 7 houses were damaged.

On the morning of 30th of March, the Ukrainian troops opened fire from the village of Maryinka upon the village of Aleksandrovka. The houses number 5 and 6A on the ‘Chelyuskintsev Street’ were damaged. Thankfully the locals weren’t injured. On the evening of 29th of March, at 16:17, the Ukrainian troops opened fire from the village of Berezovoye upon the village of Yasnoye — they used 82-mm mortars. Some damage was done to a house on ‘Victory Street’. A mortar shell hit the roof of a house on ‘Valov Street’ — it caught fire as the result. A local boiler room was cut off from the grid.

The territory of the municipal enterprise «Tram and trolleybus department of the city of Gorlovka» was shelled by Ukrainian troops on 1st of April. “As a result of the shelling, the bus fleet and the transport infrastructure of the city received significant material damage” — said Ivan Prikhodko, the head of the Gorlovka city administration.

On 2nd of April the Ukrainian troops shelled the village of Donetskii, located in the LPR. 2 residential buildings were damaged. The 93rd separate mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian forces, stationed in the village of Novotoshkovskoye, fired from 82mm mortars. There were no civilian casualties.

As a result of the Ukrainian shelling on 3rd of April — 9 residential buildings and a power line were damaged in the DPR. This was stated in the summary reports of the DPR People’s Militia Department, and the representation of the DPR in the Joint Center for the Control and Coordination. 7 houses and a power line in the village of Staromikhaylovka, on the western outskirts of Donetsk, were damaged.
