Israel launched missile strikes on Syria

1 Syria

The Syrian air defenses repelled an Israeli air force missile attack — the ’SANA’ news agency reported. The airstrikes were launched at midnight from the Lebanese airspace on ground targets at south of Damascus, and in the central Syria. It was reported that the Syrian air defenses opened fire on air targets, and managed to hit several incoming missiles. As a result of the attack, only material damage was inflicted. The exact targets of the airstrikes weren’t mentioned in the report.

2 Afghanistan

10 employees of the British-American non-profit organization ’HALO Trust’, which specializes in the disposal of mines and unexploded ordnance, were killed by masked terrorists in Afghanistan. 14 more people were injured — the 1TV reported while citing their sources. It was reported that the attack took place in the Afghan province of Baghlan. The Afghan officials believe that the attack was carried out by the Taliban.

3 Armenia — Azerbaijan

The Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated that he gave an order to suggest to Azerbaijan to exchange his own son, Ashot, for the Armenian PoWs that are being held by Baku after the war in Nagorno-Karabakh. Such statement was made after the criticism from the third president of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan. He criticized Pashinyan’s statement that the prisoners could wait for another 1-2 months, and he suggested that Pashinyan should exchange his son for the Armenian PoWs. Pashinyan’s son stated on Facebook that he is ready to make such an exchange.

4 Armenia — Azerbaijan

The Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the return by Azerbaijan of the recently captured Armenian serviceman creates a positive basis for a de-escalation of the situation on the border. Earlier, the Armenian Defense Ministry reported that the serviceman who was captured by the Azerbaijani troops ended up in the territory, controlled by Baku, because of a fog, and he is not a saboteur. He was returned to Armenia this morning.

5 The USA

The US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken stated that Washington will continue to study the issue of suspending the aid to Azerbaijan, including the military aid. Such decision was made due to the fact that the tension in the conflict zone in Nagorno-Karabakh still exists. He added that he is actively working on the return of prisoners, and on the negotiations aimed for a settlement of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh.

6 Donbass

The press service of the office of the Ukrainian President reported that Vladimir Zelenskyy began a working trip to the Donetsk region. It was reported that he will visit the positions of the Ukrainian military in the area of the military operation in Donbass, and he will talk with the servicemen who are serving on the contact line.
