Kim Jong-un arrived in Russia

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un arrived in Russia, at the border station Khasan, in Khasansky district, in the Primorsky region — Interfax reported. His armored train will soon proceed to Vladivostok. Earlier it was reported that on Wednesday, 24th of April, Kim Jong-un will arrive to Vladivostok, where he will meet with Vladimir Putin on 25th of April. According to the Japanese mass media — during the upcoming summit in Vladivostok, Russia could suggest the DPRK to return to the discussion of the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula in the format of six-party negotiations, with the participation of China, the USA, South Korea and Japan.

Sri Lankan police defused an explosive device found in a restaurant in the city of Katana — TASS reports with a reference to Newsfirst. According to the Newsfirst — the bomb was in a backpack. An antiterrorist operation is still going on at the location. Earlier, Sri Lankan media minister, Ruvan Videvardiene, reported that the police carried out a controlled explosion of a motorcycle near the ‘Savoy’ cinema, in the city of Colombo.

Libyan national army, commanded by Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, shot down second aircraft of the Government of the National Consent during one day — Al-Hadass TV reported. The fighter-jet was shot down near the army base ‘El-Vatya’, 130 kilometers south-west of Tripoli, TASS reports. Earlier it was reported that the Libyan National Army managed to shoot down a military airplane that was trying to attack the military base of El Jufra. On 4th of April Khalfifa Haftar ordered an attack on Tripoli. On 8th of April the Libyan National Army announced their control over most of the sub-urban areas of Tripoli.

On Tuesday evening, the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg told about his telephone conversation with newly elected Ukrainian president Vladimir Zelensky. “I congratulated him on his victory, and invited him to visit the NATO HQ in the near future” — Stoltenberg wrote on Twitter — “NATO will continue to provide strong political and practical support to Ukraine” — the NATO Secretary General assured. Earlier, the chairman of the European Council Donald Tusk told about his telephone conversation with Zelensky as well. He also promised to Zelenskiy his support for Ukraine. Theresa May, the British Prime Minister, underlined the “importance of the combined work between the two countries, and the international community in order to combat Russian aggression”. She expressed her hope for the expansion of the bilateral relations in the matter of security and defense.
