Nagorno-Karabakh. Accusations of the parties

1 Azerbaijan

The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan reported that the ceasefire isn’t being observed. «During 27th and 28th of October the Armenian troops didn’t observe the humanitarian ceasefire — they shelled the positions of Azerbaijani troops on several parts of the frontline with various weapons. They also shelled the settlements near the frontline zone» — the website of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry stated. It was reported that «the combat operations continued mainly in the Agder, Khojavend, Fizuli, Zangilan, and Gubadli sectors of the frontline». The ministry underlined that the attempts to attack the Azerbaijani positions were suppressed.

2 Nagorno-Karabakh

The United Armenian Informational Center under the Armenian Cabinet of Ministers announced the continuation of the fighting in Nagorno-Karabakh on Wednesday morning. «At night, the situation in the conflict zone between Artsakh and Azerbaijan remained relatively tense. In the evening, the enemy continued to shell the peaceful settlements, in particular the town of Martuni, and the villages of the Askeran region. Currently local battles are taking place on some parts of the frontline. The Defense Army continues the operations, aimed to destroy the enemy sabotage groups» — the report concluded.

3 Nagorno-Karabakh

The United Armenian Informational Center under the Cabinet of Ministers of Armenia reported about a shelling of the city of Shusha in Nagorno-Karabakh by the Azerbaijani MLRS ‘Smerch’. The Emergency Ministry of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic reported that as a result of the shelling — 1 civilian died, some were wounded. It was reported that the Azerbaijani troops fired at the city of Stepanakert from the MLRS ‘Smerch’ as well. An air raid alert was sounded in the city. The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan denied the information about the shelling of the cities of Shusha and Stepanakert by the Azerbaijani troops. The ministry added that Azerbaijan is following the humanitarian ceasefire. «We once again declare that the Azerbaijani army never fires at the civilian population» — the statement concluded.

4 Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry stated that the Armenian troops grossly violated the humanitarian ceasefire and shelled the city of Barda with MLRS ‘Smerch’. There were dead and injured, the civilian infrastructure was damaged. The Armenian Defense Ministry denied the statement from the Azerbaijani authorities. «The statement of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry that the Armenian troops, allegedly, shelled the city of Barda from MLRS ‘Smerch’ is fake» — the Armenian Defense Ministry stated.

5 Turkey

The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced during a speech in the Turkish parliament that Turkey is ready to take «legal retaliatory actions» if the terrorist threat to the Turkish borders from Syria continues. His speech was broadcast by the ‘NTV’ channel. Erdogan stated that the threats against Turkey along the entire Syrian border are not decreasing. «If all the terrorists aren’t pushed out of the border line — it will be the reason for our legitimate response» — Erdogan stated. «No-one can deny that our presence in Idlib, and our operations ‘Euphrates Shield’, ‘Olive Branch’, and ‘Source of Peace’, ensured security. We can return to such actions at any time» — the Turkish President concluded.
