1 Nagorno-Karabakh

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported that the military operations continued in 3 directions in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone from Monday till Tuesday night. «The fighting in Agder-Agdam, Fizuli-Hadrut-Jabrayil, and Gubadly-Zangilan sectors of the frontline continued during the day on 19th of October and on the night of 20th of October. The enemy fired at the defensive positions of the Azerbaijani army from small arms, mortars, and cannons» — the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan reported on their website. It was specified that the Azerbaijani troops destroyed 2 T-72 tanks, 4 MLRS «BM-21 Grad», and 5 other combat vehicles of the Armenian troops. «The Azerbaijani troops control the operational situation along the entire frontline» — the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan concluded.

2 Nagorno-Karabakh

The press secretary of the Armenian Defense Ministry, Shushan Stepanyan, reported on Facebook that the fighting in the south direction continues. Stepanyan accused the Azerbaijani troops of using aviation and artillery at the north of Karabakh. «The enemy uses aviation and artillery at the north of the frontline. Intense and heavy fighting continues in the southern direction. The Defense Army forces are taking measures to suppress the enemy attacks» — the message stated.

3 Nagorno-Karabakh

The single informational center under the Armenian Cabinet of Ministers reported that the Defense Army of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic published a list of the dead servicemen. It was reported that over the past day, 43 servicemen of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic were killed. According to the center — the total number of casualties from the Armenian side reached 772 people.

4 Syria

Sergei Shilow, a military reporter of ANNA NEWS reported from Syria that Turkey has begun the elimination of the observation post number 9, located near the town of Morek. All the heavy equipment was pulled out from the base, but the Turkish servicemen will remain in place. The base is planned to be dismantled. The Russian military police ensure the withdrawal of the Turkish military. All vehicles are being processed due to the ‘covid-19’. It was noted that Turkey is transferring their forces to an another base, which is located in a strategically important area within the Jebel al-Zawiya mountain range. The reason why the Turkish troops are leaving the observation post in the Idlib DMZ wasn’t reported.

5 The USA

‘The Defense News’ reported that the US Department of Defense has increased the spending on the deployment of new land-based nuclear missiles by nearly $10 billions of dollars. Currently the estimated cost is $95.8 billions of dollars. It was reported that the new inter-continental ballistic missiles will replace the ‘Minuteman III’ missiles that have been in the service over the past 50 years. According to ‘The Defense News’ — the deployment of the new ICBMs will come as a part of a complete replacement of the US nuclear arsenal, which is to be carried out over the next few decades. It was noted that according to the preliminary estimates, the implementation of this program will cost $1.2 trillions of dollars.
