The spokeswoman of the Armenian Defense Ministry, Shushan Stepanyan, reported on Facebook that on Monday morning, the Azerbaijani troops violated the ceasefire agreement, and shelled the positions of the defense army of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic at the north-eastern part of the frontline. The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry also reported about an artillery shelling of their troops from the Armenian side on Monday, 5 minutes after the entry into force of the new ceasefire. The artillery shelling of the city of Terter, and villages in the Terter region around Nagorno-Karabakh were reported. On Sunday, the US State Department, Armenia and Azerbaijan jointly announced that the humanitarian ceasefire between Baku and Yerevan will enter into force on 26th of October, at 8 AM.
The United Armenian Informational Center under the Armenian Cabinet of Ministers announced the continuation of the fighting in Nagorno-Karabakh on Wednesday morning. «At night, the situation in the conflict zone between Artsakh and Azerbaijan remained relatively tense. In the evening, the enemy continued to shell the peaceful settlements, in particular the town of Martuni, and the villages of the Askeran region. Currently local battles are taking place on some parts of the frontline. The Defense Army continues the operations, aimed to destroy the enemy sabotage groups» — the report concluded.
The Defense Army of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic reported on Facebook that the Azerbaijani troops launched rocket attacks on the capital of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, the city of Stepanakert, as well as the city of Shusha and the nearby settlements. The Armenian state news agency ‘Armenpress’ reported that more than 10 such attacks were carried out on Stepanakert on Thursday morning. The press secretary of the Armenian Ministry of Defense, Shushan Stepanyan, reported on her Telegram channel that the Azerbaijani troops launched rocket strikes by using MLRS ‘Smerch’. It was noted that there are wounded as a result of the rocket attacks. Earlier, the United Armenian Informational Center under the Cabinet of Ministers of Armenia reported on Facebook that the Azerbaijani troops launched 5 rocket strikes on Stepanakert on the night from Wednesday to Thursday.
The Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during an interview to ‘The Daily Telegraph’ that the deployment of the Russian peacekeepers could be ‘the optimal solution’ to the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh. «The problem is that the deployment of the peacekeeping forces from Russia in the conflict zone must be approved by all parties of the conflict» — Nikol Pashinyan pointed out, and added that Europe should make more efforts to stop the Turkish support for Azerbaija
The Syrian news agency SANA reported that as a result of the explosion of a mine, left by the terrorists from the ‘Jabhat al-Nusra’ group at the south of the Idlib province, on the plantations near Khan Sheikhoun, 3 people died and 4 were injured. The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, stated on Tuesday that the protesters crossed the «red line» in many ways. His words were published by the ‘BelTA’ news agency. He added that the country is starting to face the terrorist threats. Lukashenko added that, according to the Belarusian authorities — the radical protesters purposefully damaged some railway equipment, which could lead to accidents.
