The press secretary of the Armenian Defense Ministry Shushan Stepanyan reported that on Tuesday night, the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh was «tense, but relatively stable». «On the morning of 13th of October the enemy resumed hostilities with the active use of rocket and artillery fire at the southern, northern, north-eastern and eastern parts of the frontline. The enemy was especially active in the north-eastern part of the frontline. The Defense Army is taking adequate measures at the entire frontline in order to suppress the enemy fire, and disrupt their plans, while keeping the operational-tactical situation under the control» — the ‘Armenpress’ news agency quoted Shushan Stepanyan.

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported that the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh remains tense. «On the night of October 12th to 13th, the general situation on the Agdera-Agdam and Fizuli-Hadrut sectors of the frontline remained tense» — the message stated. The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry added that small groups of Armenian troops tried to «attack the positions of the Azerbaijani army in some areas». The ministry announced the destruction of a large number of enemy military equipment, including 3 ‘BM-21 Grad’ MLRS, 1 ‘Tor-M2KM’ AA missile system, 1 ‘Shilka’ self-propelled AA system, and 3 drones. «The Azerbaijani army follows the humanitarian ceasefire, and keeps the operational advantage at the entire frontline» — the Defense Ministry concluded.

The Armenian Ministry of Defense reported that the Azerbaijani troops attacked the military equipment on the territory of Armenia. «On 14th of October the Azerbaijani troops attacked the military equipment on the territory of Armenia due to their assumptions that the military equipment could be used to strike the populated areas of Azerbaijan. The Armenian troops reserve the right to strike at any military facility in Azerbaijan» — the Armenian Defense Ministry concluded. Earlier, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry announced the destruction of the Armenian operational-tactical missile systems, armed with ballistic missiles. According to the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry — the missiles were aimed «at the civilians and civilian infrastructure of the cities of Ganja, Mingachevir, and others». The ministry added that the missile systems «were destroyed in a pre-emptive strike in order to ensure the safety of the civilian population.»

The deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in Syria, Rear-Admiral Alexander Grinkevich, announced that 4 terrorists died as a result of the explosion of a warehouse with ammo and chlorine, which the terrorists were preparing for a provocation in Syria. Some citizens of Europe and North Africa died from the explosion as well. It was reported that «on 11th of October, near the village of Maaret al-Ikhuan, 13 km north to the city of Idlib, there was an explosion of a warehouse with ammo and chlorine-containing substances, prepared by the terrorists for chemical provocations». Alexander Grinkevich called on the commanders of the illegal armed groups to abandon armed provocations, and take the path of peaceful settlement of the situation in the areas under their control.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Said Khatibzade, stated that Tehran won’t tolerate any more attacks on its territory by the participants of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh. «Iran won’t remain indifferent in case if such attacks happen again» — the press service of the Iranian Foreign Ministry quoted his words. He added that «the ensuring of the safety of the Iranian citizens, living on the border areas, is a priority of the armed forces». Earlier on Thursday, the IRIB TV and Radio Broadcasting Corporation reported that 8 rockets, fired from the conflict zone in Nagorno-Karabakh region, fell in Iran. The rockets hit a local village. 1 person was injured, several houses were damaged.

The press service of the President of Kyrgyzstan reported that Sooronbai Jeenbekov announced his resignation. «I don’t hold on to power. I don’t want to be remembered in the history of Kyrgyzstan as a president who shed blood and shot at his own citizens. I made the decision to resign» — the message on the presidential website stated. Sooronbai Jeenbekov also called on the new prime minister of the republic, Sadir Japarov, and other politicians, to withdraw their followers from Bishkek and «return to a peaceful life».
