For the past day, Ukrainian troops violated the ceasefire agreement nine times, firing a total of 180 shells at the front-line territories of the Republic. During the shelling, mortars, various types of grenade launchers and small arms were used. Northern and western outskirts of Donetsk — the territory of the airport and the village of Trudovskie, as well as Dokuchaevsk and the southern villages of the DPR — Leninskoye, Kominternovo, were under fire. Information about the victims and the destruction is being specified.

Ukrainian forces fired at the positions of the People’s Militia of the LPR three times over the past day. This was reported by the defense department of the Republic. The positions near the settlements of Nizhniy Lozovoye, Kalinovo and Kalinovka were under fire. During the shelling, mortars, grenade launchers, and the weaponry of BMP-1 were used. The destruction of buildings and the casualties among the civilian population and military personnel has not been reported.

In Vladivostok, a fire occurred during the welding work on the large antisubmarine ship «Marshal Shaposhnikov», at the shipyard ‘Dalzavod’. 100 crew members were evacuated from site. The fire in the nose of the vessel was quickly extinguished, and it did not cause any significant damage. Thankfully there were no victims.

A batch of 73 Russian T-90MS tanks was delivered to Iraq. As we reported earlier, armored vehicles were sent from the port of Ust-Luga, Leningrad region, in accordance with the contract signed in the last summer for the delivery of 73 tanks T-90MS. Previously, nine M1 Abrams tanks and other lethal weapons, provided by the Pentagon to fight the ISIS, ended up in the hands of the Iraqi people’s militia, which is directly influenced by Iran. After that — the manufacturer of the armored vehicles, the General Dynamics, stopped the technical support of the Iraqi «Abrams» because of the violation of the conditions of their use. As a result — Iraq decided to buy the Russian tanks for its army.

The representatives of the Kurdish militia came to an agreement with the official Damascus regarding the arrival of the government troops to the territory of the Afrin, at the north side of Syria, in order to protect themselves against the military aggression of Turkey. Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad spoke yesterday on the matter of readiness of the Syrian government army to defend Afrin. According to one of the commanders of the Kurdish Self-Defense Forces, the Kurdish militia will, in the future, become part of the Syrian government army. If these agreements become reality — the events in Syria can get a new turn.

According to the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Turkey, during the operation «Olive Branch» in the Afrin region, in northern Syria, 1550 fighters of Kurdish armed groups were killed. At the same time, the military department reported that Turkey lost only 31 servicemen in Afrin, 150 others were wounded. Pro-Turkish groups managed to occupy the following populated areas: Durakli, Khara Suluk, Sharbanli.
