People on the front line || Спецвыпуск 13.03.2022
This is a special program from the ANNA NEWS. I am Constantine Reztsov. Today’s special is about the people on the front lines in Ukraine.
In any military conflict, no matter how it is called in the official sources, there are always civilians. In one way or another, they end up on the line of fire. They don’t carry weapons. Their main task is to survive in such situation. It doesn’t matter who is right or wrong, and who holds what views.
It is the reality, harsh and merciless. Someone with a gun can only be stopped by someone else with a gun. A wave of hysteria, panic, and calls for the unarmed civilians to «throw themselves under tanks» usually doesn’t achieve the desired effect. On the contrary — it only leads to severe consequences, the price of which is human life.
During a special military operation, hundreds of thousands of people became hostages of the situation, especially in the large cities. The opposing sides of the conflict use the situation in different ways. One side, like the Ukrainian nationalists and the volunteer battalions of various types, stop women, children, and elderly from leaving the war zone in the cities of Kharkov, Sumy, Chernigov, and Mariupol.
The most sophisticated methods are being used in such case. Landmines on roads, firing positions in the yards of residential buildings and preschool institutions. Civilian vehicles, buses, ambulances with wounded and sick people — all of them get shot at. Such terrible events take place on the highways towards the Russian border. For several days by now, agreements on humanitarian corridors have been violated.
The goal is to show the world the supposed reluctance of the Ukrainian citizens to move to Russia. The reality is different. According to the official numbers — over 2.5 millions of residents of the south-east of Ukraine tend to head to the Belgorod, Kursk, Rostov, and other Russian regions. The number of refugees is growing. Today, 450 residents of the Sumy region tried to go to the Kursk region. They were forced by the aforementioned militants to go back at a gun point. The civilian cars were confiscated.
The local government is being idle, or it provokes the people, and sends them to the so-called peaceful protest against the supposed occupiers. Massacres are taking place against those who receive humanitarian aid from the Russian military in the liberated areas, which puts people in grave danger. Such situation takes place everywhere. Rampant looting and robbery are taking place on a huge scale.
After the mass distribution of small arms, any civilian can get shot by anyone. It could be a militant from the Ukrainian defense forces, or some notorious criminal. Chaos and lawlessness took place in Ukraine. In some regions, like Kherson and Zaporozhye, the activists create committees of people’s deputies, who help the military to establish a peaceful life.
Such tendencies should be intensified and increased in numbers. The events of the past days indicate that the territories, controlled by the Russian forces, are expanding. The military operation might look like it’s taking too long, but it is progressing according to the plans of the Russian high command. The main goal remains the same — minimum casualties among the civilians.
