Results of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations in Istanbul
1 Russia
The Russian-Ukrainian negotiations in Istanbul were constructive — the head of the Russian delegation, Vladimir Medinsky, stated. According to him, Moscow takes two steps towards Ukraine, and proposes to hold a meeting of Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky ahead of schedule. The Russian military will drastically reduce their activity in the Kiev and Chernigov regions. Russia has received written proposals from Ukraine that confirmed the Ukrainian plan for a neutral status. The documents provided by Ukraine mentioned the refusal to produce and deploy all types of weapons of mass destruction, and the refusal to join military alliances.
3 Ukraine
The Russian Defense Minister, Sergei Shoigu, stated that the main tasks of the special military operation in Ukraine were mostly completed. It allows Russia to concentrate the main efforts on the main goal — the liberation of Donbass. According to him, the Ukrainian forces suffered significant damage during the special operation. The Ukrainian air force and the air defense systems were almost completely destroyed. The naval forces ceased to exist.
4 The DPR
The DPR’s Territorial Defense HQ reported that 90% of the DPR is liberated. The DPR office at the Joint Center stated that over the past 40 days, as a result of the shelling of settlements, almost 70 civilians were killed. 742 people, including more than 50 children, were injured. During this time period, more than 1,500 attacks were recorded. Heavy weapons were used in most of those attacks.
5 Russia
The responsibility for the destruction of civilian infrastructure as part of a special operation aimed to protect Donbass lies on the Ukrainian nationalist formations, not the Russian forces — Dmitry Peskov stated. According to him, from the very start of the military operation, the Russian forces had strict orders to not aim at the civilian objects. He clarified that the civilian infrastructure, including in the city of Mariupol, is being destroyed by the Ukrainian Nazi battalions inside the city.
6 Europe
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands summoned the Russian ambassador and told him that the Netherlands are expelling 17 Russian diplomats. They are suspected of working for the Russian intelligence agencies. Belgium stated that they are expelling 21 Russian diplomats — they were also accused of espionage. Ireland has made a similar decision — 4 diplomats must leave the country.
7 Belarus
The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, had a telephone conversation with his Belarusian counterpart, Vladimir Makei. During the conversation, they spoke about the cooperation of the countries, as well as union matters. The Foreign Ministers exchanged their views on the schedule of the upcoming contacts between Russia and Belarus, and about the upcoming CSTO events. It was agreed to increase the close coordination in the foreign policy matters, including the joint opposition to the sanctions from a number of Western countries
8 Russia
The checkpoint in the village of Tetkino, on the Russian-Ukrainian border in the Kursk region, was shelled from Ukraine. The firing point was suppressed by the return fire from the Russian forces — the governor of the region Roman Starovoit reported on his Telegram channel.
9 Syria
Massive gatherings, aimed to show the solidarity with Russia against the policies of the USA and the West, took place in the Syrian cities of Latakia and Tartus. The participants of the rallies carried the Syrian flags and signs with words of support for Russia against the American and Western plans, aimed at undermining of the security and stability of Russia.
