Shelling of Stepanakert

1 Armenia

The official representative of the Armenian Defense Ministry, Artsrun Hovhannisyan, reported on Facebook about the shelling of the city of Stepanakert by the Azerbaijani troops. «The shelling of Stepanakert and other settlements of Artsakh continues» — the message concluded. The Armenian Ministry of Defense reported that during the night, the Azerbaijani troops tired to move forward to get better positions in the southern direction. «The Armenian troops performed precise missile and artillery strikes on the Azerbaijani troops. At 06:30 AM, after the strikes of the Armenian troops, 3 enemy brigades began a panic retreat, leaving 60 corpses and 22 units of damaged military equipment on the battlefield» — the Armenian Defense Ministry concluded.

2 Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported that the Armenian troops shelled 6 regions around Nagorno-Karabakh. The ministry added that the Azerbaijani army «is taking adequate measures». The ministry also denied the Armenian reports regarding the losses of the Azerbaijani troops in the southern part of Nagorno-Karabakh. «The reports of alleged losses of the Azerbaijani army in the Jebrail direction are fake. Our troops are successfully continuing the counter-offensive operation in the Jebrail direction, and they have an advantage over the enemy» — the Ministry stated.

3 Iran

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Said Khatibzade, reported that the Iranian Foreign Ministry had sent official notes of protest to Azerbaijan and Armenia because rockets and shells fell on the territory of Iran. «We call on both sides to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iran, and to take the necessary actions to prevent such unacceptable incidents» — the press service of the Iranian Foreign Ministry quoted his words. 4 Syria

The ‘Al Ekhbariya’ TV reported that a battle took place between the Syrian army and the ISIS terrorists near the city of Salmiya, in the east of the Hama province. The terrorists attacked the positions of the Syrian government forces near the villages of Al Fasida and Tuveinan, near the Jibal Tanahij mountain range. There was no information about the losses of the sides during the fighting.

5 Syria

The ‘Al Arabiya’ TV reported that a convoy of military vehichles of the Turkish forces entered the de-escalation zone of the Syrian province of Idlib. The convoy is reported to consist of 75 vehicles. No other details were reported.

6 Kyrgyzstan

Anti-government protests continue in Kyrgyzstan. Attempts to seize some buildings were reported. On Wednesday it was announced that several parties in Kyrgyzstan joined forces and announced the creation of yet another Coordination Council. The newly created «People’s Coordination Council» nominated the opposition leader Tilek Toktogaziev on the post of prime minister.
