The newspaper «Al-Watan» reports that the Syrian artillery returned fire at the terrorist positions on the front lines of the Neyrab-Sarakib, in the province of Idlib. The hostiles suffered losses in manpower and equipment during the retaliatory strikes.

The Center for the Reconciliation of the warring parties in Syria announced that the SU-24 bombers of the Russian Air Force attacked the terrorists in the Idlib de-escalation zone by a request of the Syrian high command. The air attack was carried out in order to prevent the terrorists from moving deeper into the Syrian territory. “It allowed the Syrian forces to successfully repel all the attacks” — the Center explained. Yesterday the terrorists launched several massive attacks, supported by a large number of armored vehicles, on the units of the Syrian army in the direction of Kminas — Nairab. Due to the fire support of the Turkish artillery — the terrorists were able to break through the defense lines of the Syrian army.

The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced, while speaking in the Turkish Parliament, that the new military operation of the Turkish troops in the Syrian city of Idlib is only a matter of time. He also said that Ankara is ready to use all the combat potential in the case of an operation in Idlib. The Turkish president added that «Despite the negotiations on Idlib, Turkey and Russia are still far from reaching an agreement». He expressed his opinion that the negotiations, held in Ankara and Moscow, «haven’t reached the desired results at the moment».

The NATO doesn’t intend to provide the military support to Ankara in case of a Turkish military operation in north of Syria. «The NATO countries will not support the activation of the 5th Article due to the losses of the Turkish military in Idlib in early February. The NATO doesn’t consider the possibility of providing a military assistance to Turkey in case of a military operation in this region» — the ‘TASS’ quoted a diplomatic source in a mission of one of the alliance countries in Brussels.

The LPR People’s Militia reported that on Tuesday, the Ukrainian forces tried to cross the contact line in Donbass. A group of 10 moved towards the LPR positions near the village of Golubovskoye. “During their approach to our positions, the group entered a minefield.
