Summary events of Novorossiya, January 12, 2017

Today Ukrainian fighters have opened fire at the village Staromikhaylovka of the Kirovsky district in the west of Donetsk. They used mortars, infantry fighting vehicles and grenade launchers.
3 Ukrainian self-propelled guns “The Carnation” are located near the village Pavlopol. 2 troops of Ukrainian soldiers arrived in the village Novgorodskoe, the Deputy Commander of the operational command of the DPR Eduard Basurin reported today.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces shelled the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic over 1000 times for the last 24 hours. They used mortars, grenade launchers, infantry fighting vehicles and small arms. The outskirts of Donetsk and the area of the airport were subjected to intensive shelling. Ukrainian fighters opened fire at the suburbs of Gorlovka, Yasinovataya, villages Vasilyevka, Veseloe and Zhabichevo, the southern villages Oktyabr and Leninskoe. A gas pipeline and 5 houses were damaged in Donetsk.
Ukrainian soldiers shelled the Donetsk Filtering Station. A power line was damaged. And also they opened fire at the checkpoint “Mayorsk” in the north of Gorlovka from heavy-caliber mortars. There were no casualties.
Kiev fighters shelled the positions of the LPR People’s Militia 8 times; it has been reported by the Ministry of Defense. They opened fire at the villages Kalinovo, Frunze, Kalinovka and the monument to the Prince Igor. They used mortars, infantry fighting vehicles, antiaircraft guns, grenade launchers, and small arms.
