Summary events of Novorossiya, March 5, 2017

The Ukrainian fighters have opened fire at the Donetsk Filtering Station in the morning again. They used mortars. Workers hid in a shelter; it has been reported by the operational command of the DPR. The representatives of the enterprise “The water of Donbass” asked the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to come and provide the exit of workers after the end of the shift. But they haven’t appeared.
The situation in the DPR remains tense. The Ukrainian Armed Forces shelled the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic 2500 times for the last 24 hours. They used mortars, infantry fighting vehicles, antiaircraft guns, heavy artillery, grenade launchers and small arms. 2 soldiers of the DPR were killed and 1 wounded. Ukrainian fighters shelled 13 localities. 4 houses were damaged in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk, 11 houses – in Gorlovka, 3 houses – in the Yasinovatsky district and 1 house – in Dokuchaevsk; the Deputy Commander of the operational command of the DPR Eduard Basurin reported today.
Kiev fighters shelled the positions of the LPR People’s Militia 29 times. They used mortars, infantry fighting vehicles, antiaircraft guns, grenade launchers and small arms; it has been reported by the Ministry of Defense.
The ceasefire regime was introduced in Donbass on the initiative of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics today, Eduard Basurin reported. The further development of the events will be depended on actions of the Ukrainian side, Basurin added.
