Buseyn Shaaban, the advisor to the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad stated that Syria noted several cases of ceasefire violations in Idlib by Turkey after the Russian-Turkish agreement came into force — the ‘RIA NEWS’ quoted Buseyn Shaaban. She underlined that Syria remains committed to the ceasefire. «We are ready to adhere to the ceasefire. We will fulfill all the obligations that we have taken. The ceasefire meets our goals in order to defeat the terrorism, and to achieve the peace» — Buseyna Shaaban said. She added that Damascus expects the NATO and the EU to condemn Turkish actions in Syria that «go against all the international laws»

The UN Security Council unanimously adopted a resolution in support of the peace agreement between the US and the Taliban. The resolution also states the Council’s readiness to consider the possibility of «reviewing the status of the individuals, groups, and enterprises currently included in the Security Council sanctions list» with the start of the intra-Afghan negotiations. The Russian Permanent Representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, supported the agreement. He called one of the conditions, needed to stabilize the situation in Afghanistan, to be «a review of the Security Council sanctions against Afghanistan».

The Iraqi military base ‘Al-Taji’, in which some US troops are stationed, was bombarded with missiles. It was reported that 15 small missiles hit the base. This information was confirmed on Twitter by the official representative of the coalition — Colonel Miles Caggins. As a result of the attack — 2 US servicemen and an another serviceman from a country that participates in the Washington-led international anti-terrorist coalition, were killed. 12 people were injured.

In response to the missile attack on the Iraqi military base ‘Al-Taji’, where some US troops are stationed, the international coalition carried out attacks near the Syrian city of Abu Kemal, on the border with Iraq. As a result of those attacks — at least 18 fighters of the Iraqi Shiia groups of ‘Al-Hashd al-Shaabi’ were killed — the ‘Al-Hadath’ TV reports. The ‘Sky News Arabia’ TV reported that the US forces bombarded the city of Al Qaim, in the Iraqi province of Anbar, near the border with Syria. According to the ‘Sky News Arabia’ — the target was the local base of the ‘Al-Hashd al-Shaabi’.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi announced that Tehran has denied any involvement in the attacks on the base ‘Al-Taji’ in Iraq, in which some US troops are stationed. «The US can’t shift the responsibility for their own illegal presence in Iraq, and the response of the people of this country to the death of the Iraqi commanders and fighters, on someone else» — said the spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry. Abbas Mousavi called on the US President Donald Trump to reconsider the issue of the presence and the actions of the US forces in the region.

The Algerian Prime Minister, Abdelaziz Gerrad, during the first meeting of the African Union Contact Group on Libya stated that Algeria is monitoring the situation in Libya, where the ceasefire is being violated and the supply of weapons to the conflicted parties continues, with a concern. «Algeria insists on the responsibility of the UN Security Council for the establishment of peace and security in Libya by stopping the foreign interference and by stopping the supply of arms to the parties of the conflict» — the Prime Minister of Algeria stated.
