1 The USA — Syria

Donald Trump stated during an interview to the ‘Fox News’ that he wanted to eliminate the Syrian president Bashar al-Assad. However, James Mattis, the ex-US Secretary of Defense, opposed that decision. When asked if Donald Trump regrets that Assad wasn’t eliminated, and whether it was due to the position of Russia — Donald Trump replied that he has »no regrets». The Bloomberg reminded that a book of the American journalist Bob Woodward claimed that Donald Trump demanded James Mattis to make a plan to assassinate Assad, but James Mattis refused to do so. The Bloomberg underlined that after the release of the book, Donald Trump denied the plan to eliminate Assad.

2 Syria

While commenting on the confession of Donald Trump about his plans to eliminate the Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of Syria stated that the US administration is using the same methods that the terrorists use to achieve their goals in the Middle East. «The confession of Donald Trump confirms that the USA are an outlaw state. The American administration uses the same methods as the terrorists — murder and massacre. They ignore all the legal, humanitarian, and moral rules in order to achieve their goals in the region» — the ‘SANA’ quoted the Syrian ministry. The Ministry added that the words of Donald Trump «fully demonstrate the level of reckless political thinking and behavior, reached by the American administration. It proves that they are bandits, ready to commit crimes for their own purposes» — end of quote.

3 Syria — Turkey

The Turkish Ministry of National Defense reported about an attack on one of their observation posts in the Syrian province of Idlib. «Groups of people, who looked like civilians, approached our observation posts number 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9, located in the Idlib DMZ. They attacked our observation post number 7, and fled after counter-measures were taken» — the Turkish Defense Ministry reported, and added that those groups were «coordinated by the regime of the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad».

4 Israel

The IDF reported on Twitter that in a response to the launch of 15 rockets at Israel — the IDF launched airstrikes on facilities of the radical Palestinian movement ‘Hamas’ in the Gaza Strip. «Our air force hit ‘Hamas’ facilities in the Gaza Strip — namely, a weapons and explosives factory and a military base» — the report specified. Earlier on Tuesday, during a ceremony in Washington, conducted to sign the agreements to normalize the relations between Israel, the UAE, and Bahrain — the Palestinian radicals fired 2 rockets at Israel. 1 of them was intercepted by the air defense systems.

5 The USA

The signing ceremony of the agreement on the normalization of the relations between Israel, the UAE, and Bahrain took place in Washington. The ceremony took place in the White House, in the presence of Donald Trump. The agreement was signed by the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and the Foreign Ministers of the UAE and Bahrain — Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Abdel Latif al-Zayani. According to the agreements — Israel will suspend the extension of their sovereignty to the Jewish settlements in the West Bank of the Jordan River, which was provided by the American plan on the settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Bahrain’s Foreign Minister, Abdel Latif al-Zayani, stated that all parties must work to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict on the basis of the principle of coexistence of the two states. He added that only a comprehensive and sustainable settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, based on the coexistence of the two states, can become the basis for a lasting and secure peace.
