Terrorists are preparing provocations in Syria

1 Syria

The ’SANA’ news agency reported that the Syrian Foreign Ministry stated that the terrorist group ’Hayat Tahrir al-Sham is planning provocations with the use of poisonous substances in the Syrian provinces of Idlib and Hama. It was noted that «the fake attacks are being prepared with a help from the ’White Helmets’. The goal is to accuse the Syrian government forces of using chemical weapons against the civilians». The Syrian Foreign Ministry noted that «the upcoming provocation was approved by the USA, and it is being carried out with the support of the Turkish intelligence services». Syria stated that «the countries that support the terrorists must stop their dangerous games that might hurt the civilians».

2 Russia — Nagorno-Karabakh

Vladimir Putin stated that Russia made the decisive contribution to the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh war. He added that the Russian peacekeepers guarantee peace and security in the region. They are also doing a lot to improve the humanitarian situation, to demine the territories, and restore the social infrastructure.

3 Russia — Azerbaijan

The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov, discussed the implementation of the agreements, reached by the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia, including the agreements on the solution of humanitarian problems in Nagorno-Karabakh. «The important contribution of the Trilateral Working Group under the joint chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia to the post-conflict development of the region was mentioned as well» — the Russian Foreign Ministry stated.

4 Libya — Turkey

Turkey offered Libya an agreement according to which the Turkish troops stationed in Libya will remain in Libya. The Libyan mass media reported that Turkey suggested to Libya to agree on the agreement during the 2nd Berlin conference on Libya. According to the suggested agreement — the Turkish troops will stay in Libya before and after the parliamentary and presidential elections, planned for 24th of December, 2021. It was noted that the Turkish proposal caused serious disagreements in the Libyan leadership.

5 Russia — Afghanistan

Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman for the Russian president, stated that Russia is concerned about the situation in Afghanistan, and the emergence of a new hotbed of tension on the Afghan-Tajik border. On 22nd of June the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan reported that as a result of a Taliban attack on the border commissariat in the Afghan province of Kunduz, 134 Afghan servicemen retreated to Tajikistan. It was reported that among them were 4 wounded, 1 soldier died. Tajikistan assessed the situation on the border with Afghanistan as tense.

6 Russia — The UK

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Black Sea Fleet, together with the Border Guard Service of the FSB, stopped the violation of the Russian state border by the British Navy destroyer ’Defender’ near Cape Fiolent. It was reported that the destroyer crossed the Russian state border and entered the territorial sea for 3 km. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that one border patrol ship carried out warning fire. One Su-24M aircraft performed precautionary bombing run along the path of the UK destroyer. The Russian Defense Ministry called on the UK to investigate the actions of the destroyer. The British Department of Defense responded that the British Navy ship was moving in the territorial waters of Ukraine, in accordance with international law.
