Terrorists fired on the Syrian military on the outskirts of Daraa

1 Syria

The left-overs of the terrorist groups in the Al-Balad district of the Daraa region shelled the residential areas in the provincial capital, thus damaging a number of houses. The Daraa Provincial Police Chief, Dirar al-Dandal, stated to a reporter of the SANA news agency that the terrorists fired 14 mortar shells at Al-Kashef, an industrial area, and Garaz district. The residential buildings and infrastructure were damaged. In addition, the terrorists fired at the positions of the Syrian forces outside of Al-Balad with machine guns. The military returned fire.

2 Syria

The Turkish forces and their mercenaries from terrorist groups continue to attack the settlements in the Hasakah province. In the morning they shelled 8 villages. There was a significant damage to the residential buildings at the north-west of the province — the SANA news agency reported.

3 Afghanistan

Since 14th of August the USA and their allies and partners have been able to airlift nearly 59,000 people from the Kabul airport — the White House Deputy Press Secretary, Andrew Bates, reported. Since the end of July it was about 64,000 people in total — he stated on Twitter.

4 Afghanistan

The Afghan news agency ’Pajhwok’ reported that the Taliban have appointed acting heads of several ministries and departments, including the interior ministry, ministry of finances, and the intelligence services. The Taliban also appointed the governor of Kabul. ’The Foreign Policy’ reported while citing their sources close to Taliban leaders that the movement intends to form a 12-member council to govern Afghanistan. It includes some members of the previous government of the country. According to the ’Foreign Policy’ — the Taliban doesn’t want to restore the post of president, or any other sole leader in Afghanistan.

5 Russia

The Russian Ministry of Defense signed more than 40 contracts for the supply of weapons and equipment worth more than 500 billions of rubles during the ’Army-2021’ International Military-Technical Forum — the Deputy Defense Minister, Alexei Krivoruchko, reported. According to him — the signing of contracts will become an important stage in the implementation of the state armament program. The International Military-Technical Forum ’Army 2021’ will run until 28th of August.

6 Ukraine

Ukraine celebrates the 30th anniversary of independence. A large-scale military parade was held in Kiev with the involvement of aviation. The march was first held in 2019 as an alternative to the official military parade, which wasn’t held that year. Since then, it has been held yearly.
