The assault on Tripoli continues
The Libyan national army, commanded by the Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, announced their control over the majority of the sub-urban areas of Tripoli — TASS reports with a reference to the TV channel Al-Hadas. According to Al-Hadas — the firefights near the airport of Tripoli continue. In addition it was noted that the Libyan National Army is trying to not enter the residential areas in order to avoid the civilian casualties. On 4th of April the Field Marshal of the Libyan National Army Khalifa Haftar ordered to attack Tripoli. On 5th of April the Libyan National Army approached the Libyan capital, and took control over the local international airport.
2 Afghanistan
At least 2 people died and 5 were wounded during an explosion in the city of Jalalabad, in the province of Nangarhar, in Afghanistan — RIA NEWS reports while referring the Tolo News TV channel. According to the Tolo News — an improvised explosive device was installed inside a military vehicle. The wounded were hospitalized. Earlier it was reported that a double explosion in Jalalabad killed 3 people and wounded 19.
3 South Korea
The plans of Seoul to deploy F-35A fighter-jets could jeopardize the peaceful mood on the Korean Peninsula — the North Korean mass media announced. North Korea called the purchase of the stealth fighters «a hostile act». The statement says that it will escalate the military tensions in the region. In late March, South Korea bought 2 American F-35A fighter jets. The date of their full operational deployment hasn’t yet been determined. Back in 2014, Seoul decided to buy 40 F-35A fighters for the deployment until 2021. The deal is worth of $6.5 billions of dollars.
4 the Black Sea
The reconnaissance and strike warships, as well as the coastal missile systems of the Black Sea Fleet were put on active duty due to the NATO exercise «Sea Shield — 2019» in the Black Sea. This was stated by the Russian Control Center of the National Defense. In order to quickly respond to the possible emergency situations — the Black Sea Fleet is carrying out a set of measures needed to monitor the actions of the NATO warships. «The reconnaissance and strike warship groups, coastal missile systems «Bastion» and «Ball», as well as the naval aviation monitor their designated areas in the Black Sea» — TASS quoted the official statement. On Monday, 8th of April, the NATO started exercises «Sea Shield — 2019» in the south-western part of the Black Sea. The military from the USA, Bulgaria, Greece, Canada, the Netherlands, Romania and Turkey are taking part in the exercises. Their maneuvers are being performed in collaboration with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Georgia.
