The DPR adopted a law on the state border

On 2nd of December, the law «On the state border of the Donetsk People’s Republic» entered into force. The document was published on the official website of the People’s Council of the DPR. According to the law, the state border is determined by the administrative borders of the Donetsk region as of the beginning of 2014. The document specifies that until the final settlement of the conflict between the DPR and Ukraine, the border protection “is carried out along the line defined in accordance with the regulatory legal act of the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, while taking into account the time line of the actual demarcation of the military structures and the law enforcement agencies of the Donetsk People’s Republic and Ukraine on the date of entry into force of this law”. The chairman of the People’s Council of the DPR Vladimir Bidevka said earlier that the text of the regulatory legal act does not contradict the Minsk agreements on the peaceful settlement of the conflict in Donbass. The head of the DPR Denis Pushilin explained that the law is needed to regulate the work of the customs and border services. The law on the border was adopted unanimously by the deputies of the People’s Council of the DPR, on 29th November, during two readings. The head of the DPR signed the document on the same day.

The Ukrainian side in the «Joint Center for Control and Coordination» requested an additional time for the activities at the ‘Petrovskoye-Bogdanovka’ troop withdrawal site. «The process was supposed to end on 4th of December» — said the head of the DPR representative office in the Joint Center for Monitoring and Coordination of the Ceasefire, Ruslan Yakubov. Mine clearance isn’t completed as well. “We regard such actions by the Ukrainian side as a deliberate delay of the implementation of the agreements to eliminate the violations, leading to a delay in the agreed deadlines, which in turn creates a precedent for blocking of new agreements” — Ruslan Yakubov concluded.

«The Ukrainian intelligence agencies made a fake website in order to collect the personal data of residents of the Republic» — the Ministry of Telecommunications and Mass Media of the LPR reports. “On this website, it is proposed to fill out a questionnaire in order to receive the ‘LPR and DPR Resident Card’. But no decision was made to issue such cards in the first place. All the information, posted on this website, is fake” — the Ministry specified and urged the residents to not give away their personal data on the website.

The air defense forces of the People’s Militia of the LPR shot down a Ukrainian UAV that was conducting reconnaissance near the village of Sokolniki, in the Slavyanoserbsky district. This was announced during a briefing by an officer of the press service of the defense department of the Republic, Ivan Filiponenko. Currently, the information on the UAV flash drive is being studied by the specialists of the defense department of the Republic.
