A member of the People’s Council of the DPR, Elena Shishkina, stated during an interview to the TASS that the authorities of the DPR could abolish the death penalty immediately after the end of the special military operation, and right after the tribunals over the foreign mercenaries. Elena Shishkina specified that the death penalty could also be abolished after the DPR joins Russia, after a referendum. After that — the Criminal Code of Russia will operate on the territory of the DPR.

Italy is preparing to send a new batch of military aid to Ukraine — some armored vehicles and artillery. The list remains classified for now. However, according to some Italian journalists, it is planned to send a new batch of FH-70 artillery pieces, some unspecified armored vehicles, small arms and ammo to Ukraine. In particular, the delivery could include machine guns ’Beretta MG42/59’. Italy can also donate camping tents and medical equipment. The main list of supplies will be agreed upon after the NATO summit in Madrid, scheduled from 28th to 30th of June. In addition to sending the weapons and equipment, Italy could train the Ukrainian servicemen in handling of the Western weapons.
